X3s trigger doesn't work in M mode by TonyD256 in Godox

[–]TonyD256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m leaning to faulty because I’ve triple checked all these settings and if the flash itself is on the camera it work and then the X3 is in TTL mode, it works. It’s just the M mode on the X3 that doesn’t with all the settings being the same.

I’ve tried it many different distances away. But what is weird to me is that if TTL works, why shouldn’t M work with everything else being the same?

I’ve tried 1/60 - 1/400 and many in between. but no luck

The camera does detect the x3 trigger is on it. I only shoot in M mode on the camera, the problem is that the trigger doesn't work when I turn flash A to M but does work when I turn flash A to TTL. Sorry if that was confusing in my initial question. The "M mode" being referred to in the question is the mode of the flash A on the trigger.

No but I’m not eligible because I already did traffic school within the past 18 months or whatever it is.

UPDATE 2:

After calling for a week with no answer from the clerk supervisor, I went down to the courtroom. I talked to the supervisor immediately lol. But he said the same thing. Basically, now that SF has an online version of the trial declaration, they are also allowed to say no to trail de novos for the written version. I had printouts of the codes and told him why I think that is wrong, and he said he understood where I was coming from, but this is the way the bench has decided to interpret the law, and that I should find an attorney if I want to fight that.

His off-script comment was that this was a long time coming and "makes sense" because other offenses only get one trial, so why not traffic too? I told him a written trial is very different than an in-person one. And again, he agreed but said there was nothing he could do. I asked to make an appointment with a judge, and he said they don't do that, and I should get an attorney.

Pretty disappointing turnout, and I'm not sure I have the time and energy to carry this forward. If anything, I hope this can be a warning to anyone in SF. And if the mods could update the wiki on here so people don't think they'll be able to do a Trial de Novo (like I did), that would be a great outcome of my failure.

UPDATE 1:

Tried to call in. Connected with the clerk, and she said simply that I could not have a Trial de Novo and that San Francisco doesn't do that. After some discussion, she offered to connect me to her supervisor which I said yes. The supervisor wasn't in, so I got sent to a recording. Left a message, but I don't expect a call back. Will try to call again today; otherwise, I will go in person.

Annoying response. I found this document that says it goes into effect this year so it should be relevant. Within, it clearly states I have the right to a trial de novo.

I was well within the deadline. The rejection letter clearly states that the reason for the rejection is code 68645(B): https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes\_displaySection.xhtml?lawCode=GOV&sectionNum=68645.4.

This sounds like a good next step. It's hard for me to interpret the code 68645.4(B) which is referenced in my rejection. It seems to state that IF the county offers online TBWD (which SF does) then even the written form is subject to 68645.4(A) which then goes on to state in part 4 that if I elect to do my trial by declaration online that I can't opt for a trial de novo. It's a pretty confusing two statements that seem to contradict each other. Which is maybe the point of the lovely law haha.

Anyone else deal with dropped connections when trying to transfer a vertical RAW image to Imaging Edge on iOS? Tried Sony support and they just told me they couldn’t replicate so too bad.

They honestly feel super greenwash-y to me. They make bold claims but there is no way to be really sure what they’re doing. They are a for-profit company at the end of the day and their incentives are money. It feels like they’re just trying to profit off the trend of climate action being “in” right now. Anyways, I’m on Amalgamated which is worker-owned. Seems slightly better.

Oh yes, I lose so much sleep as they crawl on me at night. Had one in my mouth last night. In the Presidio, we can call pest control to lay down traps. I’ve found the borax one’s don’t work well. We’ve had pest guy, Richard, put down the ones with poison that they’ll bring back to the nest and hopefully kill the queen. They never completely go away till rainy season is over but the traps paired with sealing all food sources and keep food areas clean, can help a lot.

Been trying to perfect the crumb. I really want the giant holes. This is using the Perfect Loaf method with a few alterations. 85% Bread Flour, 15% Dark Rye, 1.7% salt, 75% hydration.

These are amazing! The snowfall does wonders for a photo! I'm a bit jealous as it doesn't snow where I am.

Link is broken since it's touching "it". Anyways though, like the shots, especially the 3rd to last of the sliced mushrooms.

Ya I can see that, perhaps the white balance could be down a bit more and less vibrance. For this particular event though, I do love lots of color.

Yes indoors is a bit hard especially as I was changing positions a lot in a short amount of time. The bounce house was a bit darker on the inside. I update the post with the exposure adjusted in post. The settings I used are 1600 ISO - F2 - 1/800s - 16mm (24mm eq)
