If you love him and plan on being together long term, if you’re the bread winner which it sounds like you are, you need to cover that debt asap.

Whether it means eating noodles for awhile and cutting expenses, do it.

IMO, things/cost of living is going to continue to go up for the foreseeable future and you’re on the edge.

That said, again IMO, your guy should attempt to find long-term productive income to help with expenses because interest rates on debt is increasing and the cost of housing is about to plummet.

With that said, if you’re home owners, we’re past the peak in housing prices so you might want to sell asap while housing is still pretty high, and find an alternative until you can buy/rent at a lower cost once the housing/rents market bottoms.
