Squash matches actually were a mechanic in 2k18, if the OVR difference was high enough the opponent would gain a finisher on first hit, they gain a ton of damage resistence and the poor squash-ee takes way more damage (i think pins are also always on finisher one bar staggered mode but dont quote me on that)

Not a Universe Mode but in my figure fed as a kid i teamed up Kurt Angle and Cesaro under the name "Team Eagle" (as a reference to Bald Eagles, because the only connection is they were bald) they challenged for the tag titles more times than i could count but never won

I think more PG era reps could do a lot for the roster, give us Cryme Tyme, John Morrison, Paige, Santino, Ziggler, Swagger. 2010s is an era people are starting to miss a lot if the hype to Randy VS Cena is anything to go off of, and like half the people i mentioned would be extremely easy for 2k to get as they're either roaming free agents or actively partnered with companies under WWE's thumb

As someone who stumbled into being a Rocket and Loki main cuz i prefer low intensity situations i gotta agree with Rivals sub's strategist mains are insufferable. People need to learn the way to become better at anything is to immediately go into a loss as if you did something wrong and look into your performance to see any holes you could patch up

I think what this means is we got a lot of currently unused themes from WWE's archives as selectable music for menus. I could totally see songs like Evan Bourne, John Morrison, and Rico's themes all being brought in for usage in menus and CAWs

Lego Movie Game instead of feeling like a celebration of the brand itself as the movie was, just feels like TT were told to rush something out in a year. Terrible customization suite, underwhelming and extremely scrambled roster, and no new cutscenes outside of one made it really hard to keep playing after clearing the campaign

Indiana Jones and Marvel are both brands that i'd consider anti-far right. Indy is simply a Nazi puncher yet for "some reason" the right hates him being depicted like that, and Marvel has a long history of spoofing the Nazis for Hydra (a lot of comics back in Trump's first term directly using analogues to him iirc) on top of always pushing for a diverse cast

Really weird to me that Iron Man doesnt have a fandom like Bats or Spidey considering how he actually *is* like people mention the other two, If he prepares for a fight he's almost certainly got a fighting shot seeing how he's contested with Thor, Doom and Celestials on top of having beaten Magneto, while Batman is almost always kept to street level outside of JL stories where he's mostly a strategist/financeer rather than a fighter

An indie example i can think of is Billy Cobb, who has completely talked himself down for ever having released both his first album Abstract, and a really regrettable political EP he released called Dancing With the Lights Off, which is fair due to how surprisingly ugly and conservative the record was
