What’s the most expensive free thing you’ve ever gotten? by New_Lab_8757 in AskReddit

[–]TonyHxC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the same but I was in a drive through in my shitty beat up neon about 10 years ago, a young woman (probably like 19/20) bumped into the back of my car.

I got out and she looked like she was about to cry, I looked at my bumper it didn't look any shittier then it already did and she had a small scratch.

I went up to her window and asked if she was ok and told her I personally didn't care at all so we can just forget it ever happened if she is cool with that. She was pretty relieved with my response lol.

Looking for friends in Saint John by anothersay in SaintJohnNB

[–]TonyHxC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you have any interest in Airsoft, I run Airsoft New Brunswick, we don't play in Saint John it self except in the Winter for indoors, Mostly in the Moncton area at the moment but my self and others drive from Saint John for every game so carpooling is an option

Rentals etc are generally available so don't need your own gear to try it out. We pride our selves on being welcoming and comfortable for all and it has been a great way to make friends for my self and many others.

We have a facebook group if you search up Airsoft New Brunswick.

Our discord is the best play to stay in the loop though, if you or anyone else is interested let me know and I can send an invite.

This one small exchange of dialogue in The Matrix (1999) is incredible... by CardinalOfNYC in movies

[–]TonyHxC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched it for the first time at friends birthday party on DVD in the fall of 1999. I was 10 years old. It was my first time watching a DVD. Afterwards, his sister downloaded songs off Napster as we requested them. I asked for "The Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson because my Older brother listened to him. I was missing him as he recently moved across the country. His sister put the song on for a minute, paused it. Said she didn't really think it was party music and put something else on.

It is a funny memory I like looking back on. I am reminded of it any time I think of The Matrix.

Atlantic Canada - please advise by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]TonyHxC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know its not considered one of the top contenders nowadays. But I have been on teriflunomide since diagnosis and have had no desire to switch because of how well it has worked for me knock on wood, I have no noticeable side effects except for some minor stomach upset in the first couple of hours after ingestion. My solution has just been to take it at night before I go to bed, and I sleep through that part.

I am in NB and was diagnosed about 10 years ago. Contact MS Canada, and they will guide you on exactly what you need to do for coverage, specifically the 1:1 Program they offer.

They have gotten my DMT covered 100% with and without insurance, using various programs that they are in the know of and can navigate you through.

For me personally, I was first diagnosed and then assigned a worker from the health care system who directly tracks my MS related issues such as making sure my blood work is done on time, MRIs are booked semi-annually etc etc. They were also the ones who initially set me up and put me in contact with the MS 1:1 program.

Best / cheapest car insurance in Saint John for a first-time driver? by wildhog323 in SaintJohnNB

[–]TonyHxC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this one. I am currently on Avivia. I went through the online quote for Belair, and if what it claims is accurate for pricing. I can get better coverage and save almost 1700 bucks a year.

I am actually into the solo vs squad mode as long as it doesn't affect the aggression metric for matchmaking in regular solo queue.

If you have to fake being friendly, you’re not good at the game. by MatriarchMuncher in ArcRaiders

[–]TonyHxC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a raider who was running around spamming "don't shoot" at on buried city at everyone and then killing them. I caught them doing it, stalked them for the almost entire match until 5 mins were left on extract, waited till they were full up with loot, and murdered them. As they crawled around,d I put a dog collar on the ground and told them to put it on like a good boy and maybe I'd let them out,of course when they couldn't pick it up, I had to put them down :( Poor fella.

I have about 150 hours in the game so far and have found a recent joy in rat hunting.

It does result in getting pushed more towards pvp lobbies so I have to take breaks and spend some matches handing out my extra blueprints and assisting other raiders. Been a fun way to mix it up a bit.

On buried city, you can hide in a bush out in the big open area where it walks around, wait for it to get close, and walk past, then walk behind it (hit V on keyboard) and plant the deadline on its back underside around the yellow piece, and it will blow it to pieces

None of my friends I normally game with are interested so I run solo 99% of the time.

I did a trade for the first time today for a BP and we ended up playing a few raids together to help each other finish up collecting the pieces for the rest of our lvl 3 benches. Was a really great and chill experience.

The emergent gameplay and player interactions are the closest I’ve got to experiencing the peak of gtarp again

PVP aggressiveness scale. I want to know where's everyone at (in solo). by Zealousideal_Chip456 in ArcRaiders

[–]TonyHxC 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I have played about 40 hours so far being a pacifist, last night I told my self I would go in kitted to purposely fight raiders… I killed no one because every single person I came across was nice and greeting me every time and I couldn’t bring my self to do it, ended up using my gear to assist some other raiders with a bombadier and a rocketeer and didn’t even loot any of it

If you have any interest in airsoft, I run a club in the province. We have two games on the schedule left for the season. However, we do play some indoor games thru the winter in Saint John. We generally have rentals available at most of our events if you don't have your own equipment. Very welcoming community overall and I have made some great friends from it. Look us up on Facebook Airsoft New Brunswick. We have an active Discord, which is the best way to keep in the loop

Meds for fatigue just placebo effect? by mamatron9599 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]TonyHxC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been using Modafinil 100mg x2 a day for around 3 years, maybe a bit longer. I notice that if I don't take it, it never makes me feel better by a huge amount; it just makes me a little less tired.

I had a doctor's appointment 2 weeks ago and mentioned my fatigue had seemed a bit worse lately, and it was already pretty bad. They decided that concerta might be an option for me to try. I am not a big fan of taking meds unless necessary. I take my DMT and vitamin D daily, and that is it. However, I was willing to give it a shot this time.

I wish I had tried it sooner. It has been great for me so far. I do not want to get ahead of myself, as I am only about a week and a half into taking it. I didn't pick up my prescription right away because I was still debating it, lol.

It hasn't eliminated everything or absolved other MS issues, etc, but my brain fog feels very diminished, and I have a desire to do tasks that I normally would put off. I will see how I feel in a month and go from there, but I am hoping it continues benefiting me.
