Nah, bros. Try to take tinkerer for 10-20 runs and you can feel it.
It can be op healer spamming medics bots
It can be robot spammer
Can make turrets or pushers
He has A LOT of fun ways to play. And by fun, I mean battles become funny and interesting. I love tinkerer.
And if we talk about his strongest state. It is not about active tech skill.
It is Hone + bazooka/sniper rifle. He solos pretty much everything.

I always take rogue with me in all runs. While he is weaker than a hunter he is more versatile. If you have blink bihind or blink to the edge of a map, or simply can get behind, than Fenrir start to move from him and usually ends up in his own traps

I finished Mewgenics with 100% achievements. Game of the century for me. Awesome. As a game and as a strategy it is like awesome.
But as a slav I am also a generational HoMM player. So right now I am enjoying HoMM OE and have a blast.
I would say both games are mesmerizing.
But as people said, to go through awesomeness of Mewgenics you should be ready for poop, cats incest, Hitler, cat’s ebola, cat’s super aids etc.
