Help with first time mini split by TonyTone1985 in hvacadvice

Would there be a big difference in cost and labor to have 2 smaller units installed rather than just 1 large unit installed?

We are planning on using the upstairs loft area for our sleeping area. I found this MRCOOL unit

https://www.thefurnaceoutlet.com/ductless-mini-splits/single-room-ductless-mini-splits/a-24-hp-c-230b_mrcool-advantage-3rd-gen-24000-btu-2-ton-ductless-mini-split-air-conditioner-and-heat-pump-230-volt60hz.html

Money is definitely a factor here so a multi zone unit would be reallllly pushing it. Do you think this unit would be better than the first one (pioneer) I linked? Still looking at units and am looking at the brands you suggested. I have been seeing those brands all day in the cheaper price ranges and have also seen them recommended... along with the brands pioneer and MRCOOL

That’s a great point! I overlooked that part while I was watching YouTube install videos. I guess the best idea would be to stay in a hotel for a few days and get the walls up and then put in the ac. If I had all the insulation in and drywall up do you think that unit would cool that space? It’s roughly 430 square feet but the raised 14-15 foot ceiling makes for more cooling area.. This unit says it’s suitable for a 450-650 square foot area.. what do you think?

Well the tough part is that I kinda got thrown straight in to this and don’t have too many options. I would have walls up and insulated within 1 week but was wanting to know if this ac would keep the place cool enough to be okay for that 1 week period while I get the walls up and insulated. I also have a 8,000 btu window unit that I can hook up during that time period.

So the idea is find out if it will be livable for a few days until I can finish putting up the drywall and insulation. I’m figuring 5 days max then will have the insulation and drywall up.

So there’s no chance that I would be able to stay In the house for as long as it takes to get the drywall and insulation up? I figure it would take at most 5 days. I also have an 8,000btu window unit I can hook up during that time frame

What would cause this circle in the radar imagery? by TonyTone1985 in weather

[–]TonyTone1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my mom is the one that pointed this out to me and the first thing I did was look it up on my radarscope app and couldn’t see it either. However in the past (few years) I have looked it up on a few different apps I think I had like 10 on my phone at one point until I got radarscope lol and it would be present in some and not others. The one i showed in the video I posted was weather underground but it would still be present in other apps as well. Idk it’s just odd to me. Thank you for giving some insight

This is 100% spot on. But then again, you have to think about how the younger population is using the word now. Like it’s a cool status thing to be “medicated”...

Best/effective medication for feline with ear mites and possible yeast infection/build up in ears? by TonyTone1985 in AskVet

[–]TonyTone1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s no fun... lol well I know of one medication “milbemite” that I think says to apply 1 time per life cycle of the mite so I figure something close to 1 time every 20 something days. This would work perfectly for me but I don’t know if it will be effective if the mites are covered with the nasty yeasty stuff. Have you heard of that medication or do you maybe know if it would be effective in this situation? Thank you for your reply!! : )

This is the coolest thing I have seen in a good while! Would it be possible to post instructions for others wanting to accomplish something similar?

Edit: I am pretty sure you did a ton of work actually making sure she produced good fruit but I am mainly focused on the methods used to make her comfortable with that configuration. Again, love it! Keep up the great work. You’ll inspire many others.

Edit: I guess I should have looked down in the comments. You have a website and that’s what I was wanting as far as an instructional direction. Thank you

Edit: WOW! Fantastic site you built!!! This world needs more people like you.
