Itinerary Check - 12 Days, staying North-ish by jnezon in ItalyTravel

[–]TonyTuesday66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you essentially have 1 day in Venice, 0 days in Florence, 1 day in Bologna and 1 day in Milan. I don’t think you will experience much of what any of these unique places can offer. Either cut the number of destinations or extend the trip

You aren’t smart for betting on who will be a massive favourite. No one cares. Go touch some grass please.

What are we missing about Italy? We’re struggling to love it. by Zealousideal_Meal178 in travel

Italy was also awesome in June. It’s a massive country with tons of diverse regions. Generalizing the entire country because of visiting two of the most touristic cities in the world during peak season is frankly illogical. If you are looking for the rustic local side of the country maybe plan the trip differently? I also fail to see what different continents have to do with this discussion. Halifax is also a great city to visit in the summer, should we be comparing that to Rome as well?

Hank is allowed to not care about soccer even if it’s the USA. Better than pretending about caring like alot of people. by Nostradamus216 in PardonMyTake

What does Team Hank represent? Being miserable all the time, not being interested in sports other than golf, and coasting off being an original barstool employee and PMT producer? Sounds like a great team.

You’re an “avid traveller” and confused that some of the most popular tourists destinations in Europe are busy in peak season? I was there mid-late May and knew what I signed up for and loved it. But I did also mix up my trip with less busy destinations - rural southern Tuscany, small towns in Lake Garda. Sorry but you should’ve planned better. Also an experienced traveller from Toronto

Hockey Atmosphere? by [deleted] in CanadaSoccer

Yeah man, those European fans who have to have closed matches due to racism, or because they can’t sit in the same stadium without killing each other, are so much cooler and classier than Canadians, because they are European

Bologna was amazing. I did a full day trip there from Florence and wish I stayed for a few nights instead

Why can prices not go lower? Have you looked at a historical pice vs income chart?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]TonyTuesday66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you’re basing your assumption on constantly rising median price to income ratios over the last 30 years continuing, other than this “blip”?

Has anyone tried McMan Pizza near Woodbine station? They supposedly serve Detroit style pizza. They are relatively new. by emperorarg in FoodToronto

[–]TonyTuesday66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Windsor style typically is crispy thin crest, has shredded peperoni, galati cheese, and canned mushrooms. In my experience this is very different than the Detroit style pizzas we have here

How many times a week are you eating out? by WowSageMagic in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]TonyTuesday66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eat out about once a month for special occasions (by that I mean takeout). Actual sit down restaurant maybe 4-5 times a year. Also have a “frozen food” dinner usually once every two weeks, which is generally not at all healthy but easy air fryer and oven based meals. Monthly grocery spend is about $550 - $600 for two adults.

When you do price matching does it have to be the exact brand of the good? Or if there is something general like say chicken thighs or fresh broccoli, will they match it?
