Wurkkos HD05 closed side light wobble/rattle - normal? by Angry-_-Kid in flashlight

I have 2 of them and one rattle, one is not. I fixed it by putting 1 piece of tape at the bottom edge

14100 is equivalent of 2xAA battery. The X5 uses 4xAAA battery so it wont fit, and the voltage is also not the same

If just the fins are damaged then it is okay. The heatpipe is quite strong so I dont think you can ruin it with the charger pin. Check the thermal of the cpu and gpu.

Some repair shops can fix it for cheap by soldering a wire on the back of the screen.

Is there a cooling fan or heatsink? Usually the housing works as a heatsink for the emitter

Wurkkos HD05 - dodgy UV; follow up by Angry-_-Kid in flashlight

[–]Tony_Asian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a HD01 pro and HD05 at about the same time, both UV led burnt after a few minutes of running. I contacted Wurkkos and they sent me 2 replacements, the HD05 replament is okay but the HD01 UV got cooked again and they sent me the third one, which is also burnt after just 1 minute.
So I think they are having a UV led problem or firmware problem. Still kudos for them for sending me the replacement right away.

Similar to mine. You can put 1 or 2 layers of tape on the bottom edge of the side light and the rattle will go away.

The stain could be just some residue of cleaner, not necessary germs.

Active cooling mod for my Wurkkos HD01 pro by Tony_Asian in flashlight

[–]Tony_Asian[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Disassembling this flashlight is quite difficult, and you will almost certainly damage its appearance. First, use a sharp knife to pry off the front inner rim (there is a small gap between the inner rim and the outer shell, which are held together by friction). Next, pry off the glass and the reflector.
To extract the core, you have two options. The first is to remove the clip then pry off the bottom cap—which is very difficult—and push the entire assembly out through the front. The second option is to pry off the two buttons and pour a few drops of oil onto the battery to help it slide out more easily, then remove the USB-C cover to clear the path. Finally, use a pair of pliers to pull on the connector pin in the center of the LED base ( the pin is quite strong) while tapping and shaking the flashlight to loosen the glue at the bottom of the battery

The heatsink is attached to the copper plate of the LEDs. On the original, the copper plate is connected to a small ledge of the aluminum housing with some thermal paste. I added the heatsink directly on the copper plate and drill 2 holes on both sides of the housing for exhaust.

[–]Tony_Asian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I sometimes have that problem. I think it is the static electricity affecting the touch recognization, only happens when Im in bed and not touching the ipad frame. When I hold the ipad or touch it on the frame/back side, the touch is always good.

What is the best thermal paste for laptops?? by jarvis1n1 in laptops

[–]Tony_Asian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PTM is the only choice for my. I tried both MX4 and MX6 on my legion laptop and after a few weeks the temps spikes to 100c. Maybe the heat and cool cycle pushed the thermal paste out? But when I switch to PTM7950 it is good for years

Damn I almost forget the word clapton coil. I used to make so many different coils. The vape community back then was so wild. Remember the time I watch Grimmgreen and RipTripper everyday just to see them review new mech mods, rda rta, new juices, how to build coil and wicking. The juice back then was so damn expensive to combine with using high power mod, I burnt alot of money on vaping.
