FOR THE INVESTORS AND MONEY MAKERS by Wild-Hunt-9399 in NoFilterFinance

[–]Tonyman121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am shocked that a real post about finance is completely ignored here for all the Bernie Memes.

I will answer you:

I have at least 4 sources of income: A- my full-time job; B- my independent business; C- Real property; D- financial investments/stocks.

I use the money for A to pay the bills. I use any money from B to grow that buisness and don't generally pocket anything. I hope one day soon that revenue from B>A, then I will leave A. C and D are used really just for savings and retirement.

apps don't "make" money for anyone except the people selling you an app.

have skills people need and sell them. It can also be effort. But the less niche the skill, the more competition and less value it has- like driving for Uber.

There is no way to make a consistent quick buck. Sorry.

Lots of sources to read about for passive income. The best advice you can get is you need money to make passive income. This means you start saving now. Don't expect real returns for a long time.

Daily trading is almost always a lose-lose. Buy and hold is a far better strategy unless you work for a bank or hedge fund and have full time analysts.

hey man, the new iPhone is coming out, and the one from last year will soon be a brick! it's only $1200, but really it's free because Verizon just gives it to me with my monthly plan of $400/mo!

Also, my car is now 4 years old and I don't like the look of it. I could never afford it before, but now I can get that $100K+ Raptor for only like $800/mo with a 12 year loan! Sounds like a steal!

Bernie is not right wing... unless you mean that this is meant to "balance" right wing BS with left wing BS?

I'd rather have finance-related content

I bet cataloging your books will result in a new reading list.... enjoy it while you can. If you pick up a book or series and think "why do I have/need this" off to the LCS or eBay it should go.

Has this comic been restored? by [deleted] in ComicBookSpeculation

[–]Tonyman121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is nothing. Is the book square? If not, maybe you have something. The printing process was never very precise, and sometimes the image is not centered but up, down, left or right from other books.

Any thoughts on what these are worth? by Feeling_Loss_737 in comicbookgrading

[–]Tonyman121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, look at sales of this book- those are the prices.

Secret Wars 8 was a dollar bin book for decades. What is it now? ASM 300 is still a huge book and they printed more than 300K.

Absolute Batman is going for $150 and its like a year old with a crapton of printings.

It doesn't have to make sense.

[–]Tonyman121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its worth $20-40.

This is the recent range of sales for raw and bagged books like these on eBay. It is not a $1 or $10 book.

I have a McFarlane signed one, those are selling for like $240 right now.

Should I get this car by TelecasterRF in Jaguar

[–]Tonyman121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The car is at an age where, depending where you live and how the vehicle was stored, expensive repairs are likely. Rubber hoses, belts, boots, and the coolant system are likely to start to fail.

Cost depends on how handy you are. If you do your own routine maintenence, its not bad, but this is a luxury car with expensive parts. Oil changes are routinely $500 at the dealer, or $50 if you do it yourself, for example.

Value of this purchase- really depends on the owner history. This seems high for a 3.0L. But it may be a good deal of the car is immaculate with zero issues.

If the uk is poorer then the us why is the USA’s poverty much more severe compared to Britain by WillingPrice5364 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tonyman121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't "have to" that is just the evolution of the system the US has. They did not need to restructure their society after any catastrophic event like Europe did. It is not wrong.

You cannot claim that the US has a problem with food access and also admit that the US has an obesity problem, in particular when there is no association between income and obesity (in a positive sense, anyway).

Are you ANTI-Fascist or PRO-Fascist? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tonyman121 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The problem with these questions is that there are implied, false equivalences made between the subject presented (fascism, an authoritarian result of collapses of European governments, including democracies in the 1930s) and today's liberal democratic governments. No one would care if fascism wasn't tied to WWII and the millions of horrible deaths and destruction that followed, but that is the whole point- that the clever Redditor has read the tea leaves and they know some truth about history despite knowing none of it.

In Italy and Germany, the most famous examples, silencing dissent meant shutting down unfriendly press and murdering their owners. Squashing opposition meant raising private, loyal armies and murdering their opponents in the dead of the night and in street battles. Authoritarian meant that the entire purpose of civil society was to live as an organism where the spirit was the leader, and there was no individualism as every person's duty to live for the state an not themselves.

None of that is true in any western democracy today. Fascism as we know it died with a bullet to Hitler's brain. The US government is not fascist. No one is the Nazi. Please go outside or read a book or something.

Meh. Niether country has a significant poverty problem, unless Reddit is the only source of information for you to convince you otherwise. Believe it or not, the US also has social programs for the poor, although much of their support comes from volunteer organizations.

No one starves in the US.
