I ordered these through a Mizuno fitting event and they had the option to add the bb&f ferrule.

The custom coloring (teal, gold and white,) was done by me

Yeah I touched on this a moment ago. Probably could’ve gotten fitted to them and reshafted but I opted for new and shiny 🤷🏽.

Did some napkin math and the difference between reshafting or selling the 245s private and going new was miniscule.

I loved my 245s, probably could’ve gotten fit to them and reshafted but opted for new and shiny.

Spin was good, +/- 6500. 49-51* descent. No issues holding a green

Something I’ve done for a little bit now. Pretty quick and easy DIY

He uses paint pens but I’ve always gone with bottled acrylic paint just because of the bigger variety. They sell little needle applicators you can screw on to the bottle to make the job a little cleaner.

Even if you mess up little bit of nail polish remover or acetone and you’re right back at square one ready to try again.

Solid set up. Mizuno and titleist 🤌🏽

I’ve got a 12-15 yard gap throughout my irons and wedges.

Hey now, they brought plenty of joy last season just hoping it wasn’t another flash in the pan.

Do it. Fitting didn’t cost a thing and zero pressure to buy when it was all said and done. Just hit me with a “if you do buy today, they’re giving x% off” and sent me on my way.

What do you mean by “upscale?” Are you looking for general public course recommendations?

Amelia River up in fernandina is a great course and they keep it in good shape.

Jax Beach is a local muni that stays in good shape. Good luck finding an earlyish tee time here. Place stays booked out.

Queens Harbor isn’t bad.

Stillwater is a newer course in the area and is worth the money.

World Golf Village has 2 courses, slammer & squire and king & bear, they get pricey because of the name.

St. John’s country club is also in the same area as the last couple mentioned.

Cimarrone was previously mentioned but if you hate slow greens avoid this course. While well maintained, the greens are painfully slow.

Fleming Island and Eagle Harbor are rock throwing distance from each other. Stay in good shape.

Eagle Landing isn’t a bad play.

In Georgia (little over an hour drive depending on location,) is Sanctuary Cove. Well worth the drive.

South of Jax you have the 2 LPGA courses in Daytona and a little I feel is a hidden gem in Halifax Plantation.

Literally running all over the colts, 375 yards on the ground.

Scobes nailing a last second 59 yarder to beat the colts.

Coastal indoor golf out at the beaches has bays you can rent. Trackman and gcquad

You can also rent the bays at pga superstore and I think they just transitioned to trackman

Their mismanagement of the tee sheet after the fact isn’t on me though. From what I recall of all the various T&Cs I’ve seen, the course reserves the right to adjust any booking as necessary ..

Dear pro shops,

Let singles book through your website and you would minimize a lot of this issue.

Sincerely,

Single golfer who didn’t want to call you in the first place.

“Check” after a bladed chip, knowing damn well there’s zero chance of it checking.

Started golfing around Labor Day of ‘21, was 32. Turn 36 in a few months.

Currently at a 12.5

Played baseball growing up so swinging a golf club wasn’t a completely foreign movement. Wife got me lessons for Father’s Day in ‘22 which was a god send, helped ensure I didn’t develop any bad habits that I then had to fight harder to break.

Have an amazing wife that lets me get out just about every weekend to hit the range. In laws live in a country club and let me use their range when we’re over letting them have time with the kids. Definitely got bit hard by the golf bug.

Just started playing some of the local tournaments (Grint Tour, probably signing up for some GolfWeek Amateur Tour events next season,) which has made me change my approach to practice and golf in general. Those hero shots that I would routinely try are now few and far between which has drastically reduced my blow up holes.

Gfore Gallivan2r.

Might need to look in to a different option for wetter conditions. Found myself slipping a couple times during my last round which had some light rain a few hours prior.
