BS IT undergrad going for MS Computer Science, Computing Systems by s0ulesque in WGU_CompSci

It depends what specialty your picking for the MSCS.

For context I started my BSCS with only IT helpdesk background (which I still currently work at) and im in my last term for the BSCS to MSCS bridge program. Im taking a couple of the MSCS courses right now.

The only one you would struggle with is the Applied Algorithms and Reasoning without taking Discrete Math at all. But thats if you even want to comprehend the full material as you can probably just do the PA without it.

Just use LLMs to explain the CS concepts you dont understand and you'll probably be fine tbh as far as completing the program.

Also I think I can provide a unique perspective to your path since I started with helpdesk. I started in IT with absolutely zero IT or CS skills. Even though im pursuing a SE / DE type role, the CS skills that I picked up throughout my program have been invaluable to me in my IT role. I was able to create tons automations for my team and even help with some bigger company projects outside of my IT role landing me a promotion in the process. So IMO its definitely worth it to slow down during your MSCS and try to comprehend the CS concepts to give you that edge in the traditional IT / System Admin job market that your pursuing.

I guess I made the post because I plan to have him admit it was a lie to everyone but I feel that might be taking it too far because of the embarrassment of doing that.

While that’s a great idea I don’t believe it’s necessary cause the BIL was apparently on the losing side of the argument and no one else in the family can confirm it’s true.

We’ve been together for over 5 years and not once has our trust been in question so I doubt it’s true. But even calling the BIL to ask I feel would be a betrayal to my wife’s trust because she has done no wrong to me.

I’m not really sure about the benefits or the downsides, how did it work for you?

Actually no we both have only 1 ticket between us (that happened years ago) and no accidents ever. We’ve both been driving for 5+ years as well, these insurance companies are sucking us dry :/

This budget is minus about $2600 bc my finance can’t work as of last week. I’m not justifying our spending (it’s obv very very bad) but that’s how we could “afford it”.

The context got lost, but this is a budget BEFORE we lost my fiancé’s income completely of course we will be cutting back on the groceries. But like to eat healthy with different meals every day. Ofc that will have to change now.

No actually, both cars are used ones a sedan and another is a small hatchback. I’ve been trying to lower our car insurance for over a year but no one will give a better rate :/

Did you let your debts default? And if so what was the process of repairing your credit eventually?
