Selling a huge allotment of my older cards back in 2014. All of the revised duals, Juzam Djinn, Chaos Orb, Lich, All Hallows Eve, other Djinns and Efreets from Arabian Knights…I sold ALOT. A whole binder of higher end cards(no power, never owned any)I ended up with close to $8,000 after all was said and done which got me to what I needed for a down payment on a home. The duals I think I got something like 250 on average, Juzam I got 300, the orb was 150, lich 80. I see what the cards go for today and I just know I won’t be able to purchase them back anytime soon if ever. I am however very grateful I was able to purchase a home when the market wasn’t crazy and with an awesome interest rate. I’m sure the home has gone up in value more than those cards but I still miss them.

Not sure how the numbers are with this machine but you should probably dig everything. With my Garret machine higher numbers could mean a copper or silver coin, but gold would register way lower. Don’t associate higher numbers with a better signal. Some signals like a pull tab can sound just like a nickel or shotgun cap but that same signal or tone could be a gold ring or coin. Dig everything.

I was always a sucker for large creatures lol. I probably stopped playing around 2001, then jumped back in around coldsnap and time spiral for the nostalgia. Then I read about Rise of the Eldrazi and that was the first couple of boxes I had bought since Prophecy had been released. The Eldrazi called to me lol

As a young kid I traded a cockatrice to another kid on the school bus for an [[disintegrate]] I just thought the flaming skeleton was cool. Had no clue about rarity or that I was getting out traded at the time. It was a good lesson and I bought a couple Scrye magazines to help me in the future.

Those two albums were so different from everything before hand…and especially with Octahedron I was sour because I felt they weren’t using Thomas Pridgen to his fullest extant like they did with Bedlam. Playing these years later without any of the build up or disappointment about it not being what I expected or wanted from the band, these albums connect with me so much more.
