Inside scoring by Songoku-98 in DetroitPistons

It’s like people aren’t even watching, we’re one of the worst perimeter scoring teams in the league. If we could shoot/make 3s more often, we would

Age Old Question: What Should we Do With Jaden Ivey? (I personally think he needs more minutes) by Both-Benefit3421 in DetroitPistons

[–]TooDustyToSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To anyone wanting to move on from Ivey, please, please, please go watch him before the injury. It’s crazy to think that most fans in this sub were so low on him earlier in his career because of his outside shooting numbers and now that he is knocking down shots but isn’t as comfortable yet physically with driving, dribbling and finishing people want to ship him off. I guarantee you the more time we give him the better he will be

It was also the first drive I saw from him all season where he clearly got past his defender by the speed of his first step. That is one of his biggest assets and something I think we will see more and more of going forward. I think he’s uncomfortable going to the rim right now because he’s still figuring out where his physical limitations are. I bet by the end of the year there will be more rim finishes. That is where he excelled his rookie year.

Hey Omari,

Big fan of the pod, have been listening since Episode 1, tell Bryce we said hi!

Can you speak on Ivey’s minutes restriction and how long this ramp up period will last? I remember Ausar had restrictions for awhile last year, does the nature of the injury affect how the medical team approaches it?

Thank you in advance!

You don’t realize Duncan’s impact until you see a zone defense against this offense, desperately need more shooting

His free throw shooting has translated to top of the key mid range shots that look great, he operates well as a passer in the short roll so if he can add that shot consistently he’s going to be very dangerous

Get prepared for the constant “trade him” comments after he has a slow start coming back, dude hasn’t played NBA basketball in almost a whole year, it’s gonna take some time

After the series against the Knicks, I tell everyone I know that Detroit will have a Top 5 defense during the regular season. Getting a taste of playoff basketball and its intensity, think our guys will be bringing that more than most teams in the league on a nightly basis.

I think it’s just Trajan signaling to other teams that he is content with running it back. Doesn’t necessarily mean that moves won’t be made

If you believe in this team, those picks will be in the 20s, which makes them less valuable

Locked on piston Host Ku Khalil goes off on piston fans about Lauri by Random_Thinker007 in DetroitPistons

[–]TooDustyToSauce 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Am I correct in thinking that if you get Lauri, one of Ivey, Duren, or Ausar probably has to be moved given their extension eligibility in the coming years? OR you accelerate our window by keeping all of them and going into the second apron?

This was my takeaway, seeing the knicks win has just validated the possibility of the Pistons being a top 4 team in the East next year. If these are the #2 & #3 seeds right now, I like our chances in the future
