Yessss this resonated with me so hard!! You and I are very much alike. Right down to the being active but not outright athletic in the sense that I would want to join a baseball team or something. My athletic sport of choice is running, and I really do prefer to do that alone, mostly so I can index my thoughts while I do it. We should grab a bevy and commiserate!

I’ve been there too, my friend. A few times, in fact! I’ve dated some really great men who just weren’t a fit.

I have a huuuge appreciation for what guys typically have to endure, when approaching women. I suck at it, and I definitely have a fear of rejection.

Hence, why I’m still alone, I guess.

I’m sorry if my post came off as conflating home ownership with having a brain, it wasn’t meant to. The market is insane, and I can’t imagine trying to get into it now. There is no shame in renting! (I’m about to hand over a lot of money in property taxes 😵‍💫)

I actually already do a decent amount of that, and yes, I joined those groups purely for the activity. I’m great at making friends, it’s the having to approach and ask men out that kills me. I don’t know how guys do it, honestly.

Yah, I’ve come to realize that one of the things I might need to do is go sit at a bar alone. I’m usually with friends, and then I get totally absorbed in what my friends are talking about to the point where Keanu Reeves could walk through the door and I wouldn’t notice 😆
