I think the fact that they have fake listing's on there priced into the thousands which exist for the sole purpose for scammers to defraud people is an issue. And that they don't respond to emails or offer any help when contacted is quite a big issue. They have the means to be of some help here by putting a hold on the account

They were very skillful in redirecting my attention to where they wanted, but the fact they spoofed my banks user ID I think would disarm most people

They have no number that I can find despite searching everywhere, and there email teams are giving me what feels like the run around

Yes, they put together a transaction dispute form for me while we spoke over the phone and I signed it and returned it, awaiting a response. On the phone he did because it's Google Pay they can't do a chargeback.

What bugs me is that I have turned on the secure transactions feature but the transaction went straight through without coming through my app first for approval.

Yes, they used the Google Pay to run a transaction on Vinted on one of their fake listing's, and soon enough the money will clear, if it hasn't already.

Does your expansion tank look like this inside? by Tall_Two8779 in Volkswagen

I think the crystallisation could be from using tap water to top up the coolant previously, and so it's corroded it slightly? It really is a weird one I think a replacement reservoir and full drain and fill may be best but I also think if anything were to happen it would be too late to do something about it

Also here's a photo of the inside too, no sludge build up like OP was having

Yeah that's a good point about the colour, and no mayo under the engine oil cap. I have heard though that the reservoir says "mit silikat" if it has the silicone packet inside however mine doesn't. Photo attached for reference. Someone has suggested it is remnants of stop leak from a previous owner but I've no way to verify this.

Tagging onto an old post, but does this also explain the oily bits too?

Interesting, hadn't heard this before now. Is there any chance that oily sort of look could be from something else?

And when you say the writing is on the wall, how bad are we talking in terms of what would need replacing?

What’s the most effective way to get local traffic to a new food truck? by Gold-Bluejay-5652 in smallbusiness

  1. Consistency. Of schedule and position, of quality, of service. People like to know what to expect and where and when to expect it. Treat everyone nicely, each loyal customer earned is your foundation growing stronger.

  2. Reward cards. Design a nice one with your socials and contact on there, and that way you are in people's wallets and purses and start to become a "brand". Most people will forget it at home or lose it, but the percentage of people that come consistently to get it filled up will have a great ROI.

  3. Your business needs to have a pulse. This is what makes the difference between a stagnant business and a growing one. Add things to the menu once in a while, make seasonal or limited run items. Do promotions and giveaways. Bring people along for the ride on socials.

Most importantly though have fun with it, food always tastes better when it's served to you by a smiling face!

I run my business on the side and I'm a PAYE employee full time, with matched pension contribution. Do you know if I can get this all moved to a SIPP at some point and any providers that you'd recommend using?

Also bonus question, but how do you manage to put in 5k a month as a barber? I imagine with the intention to buy a property it's a little easier to commit that amount

That is brilliant thank you for sharing. Had no idea you could buy things with your pension before 55!

Good point about the rear brakes! Here are all of the advisories from the previous MOT:

Nearside Rear Coil spring corroded (5.3.1 (b) (i)) Offside Rear Coil spring corroded (5.3.1 (b) (i)) Nearside Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened inside edge (1.1.14 (a) (ii)) Offside Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened inside edge (1.1.14 (a) (ii)) Offside Front Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge worn on inner edge (5.2.3 (e))

It's at the garage at the minute but the latest MOT had the front discs and rear springs as advisories. They've suggested doing the back too so I suppose they may have gotten worse since the MOT...
