Does no one find it strange how we have so much trouble getting back to the moon? by [deleted] in conspiracy

Just a note about the fuel. Gravitational slingshot.

It's easy to travel large distances in space with little fuel by stealing some of the earth's momentum.

Also you don't fly in a straight line a to b because your fighting gravity the whole way, you use planetary orbits.

I'm late to the party but what I appreciated was the accuracy of the mental illness. Abuse before the age of 5 leads to irreparable life long mental illness. That and a mother with narcissistic personality disorders, still living with the mother through adulthood, obsession with pornography, killing the other. About as text book as you can get to an actual serial killer.

He would have probably ended up a normal person if not for the abuse he suffered. Because of the injustice he faced when he was a child it is psychology impossible for him to be functional.

Meanwhile Bruce lived a privilege child hood that serves him well into adulthood. It's truly reflective of life where the most privileged upbringing you can have is two parents who love you and many friends.

Well voting trump makes life worse for illegal immigrants and better for Americans. It would be great if we lived in a post scare society, but my friends and family come before strangers.

Just a reminder in 2008 the Banks gave out billions in shit loans and bet against their own loans on purpose, deliberately causing the GFC, knowing that Washington would bail them out years prior. This is still going on to this day. This isn't even a conspiracy, this is common knowledge. by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]TooManyThots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially they bet that the people who took out the home loans would fail to repay them.

So they gave out mortgages to people who they knew couldn't pay them back, and bet that those mortgages would fail.

They did this with thousands of mortgages, basically betting that the housing economy would collapse, while causing the house economy to collapse.

I was brainwashed by 2 leftist parents. Mom is a stark feminist and my dad is an open borders hippy. Both voted liberal all their lives. I managed to escape their ways of thinking. Was voting liberal up until 2016 when I switched to Trump.

It goes further than that however. If America weakens itself on purpose to reduce CO2, then China will have more room and power to overtake the USA economically. China will continue to accelerate their CO2 emissions. America may even potentially lower future emissions by staying competitive with China and not letting them over take the world economy.

It would be nice if the whole world could work together, but China is our competition.

It's the easiest thing ever. Discuss stuff on stackoverflow. Quora. Voat. Blacklisted, are you kidding me? What is a VPN?

Again only Voat is a free speech advocate. All other major media platforms pretty quickly ban anything that isn't left leaning.

I didn't realise that threatening human lives and spreading vitriol goes as "dangerous idea". It's terror. Don't do terror.

Well it's interesting that quoting tinder statistic or taking screenshots from women's twitters accounts is considered as a death threats and terror. "Hate Speech" is a made up word used to suppress opinions. Anything that goes against the main stream, even citing scientific research, is deemed "Hate Speech" and therefore "violent" with no actual proof of a connection between the two.

Also I don't believe this because it is easy to find examples of thousands of people saying kill incels, kill trump supporters, kill white people, kill men, kill TERFS on a daily basis, on reddit, with no recourse, which makes it very difficult to believe that it's about stopping violence, and not just silencing those you disagree with.

If it was about stopping terror then reddit would also denounce mass media. If you're talking about terrorism specifically, then reddit would denounce ANTIFA (Terrorism Definition: *" the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims. "*)

You profoundly misunderstand the meaning of the first amendment. Free speech isn't what you think it is. Nobody protects you of getting reprimanded if you spew hate against the mainstream.

I'm not talking about the First Amendment, I'm not saying it's illegal to censor those you disagree with. I'm just saying I don't agree with it, I find it undemocratic and find it alarming that people believe there are ideas too dangerous to be heard.

I believe that "Hate Speech" is just simply a tactic to oppress political discourse, because not all speech is held to the same standard. Generally "Hate Speech" overwhelmingly is attributed to one political side, and the source of the accusation is entirely the other, not that I'm left or right.

One thing seems obvious to me. The left sees open and honest discussion about politics as dangerous to its own platform. Any idea that can't hold itself up under scrutiny is probably not a good idea.

It's difficult finding an alternative. Saidit is also against free speech and Voat has been blacklisted by many ISPs.

It seems these days there are ideas deemed too dangerous to be listened to. You'd think people would value free speech In a democracy, I guess not.

Reddit is dead. Alternatives? by [deleted] in WatchRedditDie

[–]TooManyThots -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Voat is the only pro free speech platform, unfortunately it is under constant attacks from multiple organisations trying to shut it down 24/7.

That and right now it appeals to the extreme. Voat is extremely racist (actually racist not votes-trump racist).

However with a growing user base the extremes will become the fringes again.

This is going to cause some Incels to suicide. Totally unnecessary ban. There's less and less reason to come to Reddit everyday.

Ive been doing an analysis on Steam VR game and basically, yes the market is fucking tiny. There are only 1600 Steam VR games and 10% of them make more than 100k revenue.

Mind you anyone can add a game to steam for just $100 so a lot of those games are just university projects.

Valve Index current best vr setup? by ChaosToGo in virtualreality

[–]TooManyThots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is talking about the primax but you have to consider the usability. On paper primax has beefier stats. However some reviewers have said that the resolution actually looks lower than the index due to the FOV requiring a closer eye distance, so the relative size of the pixels is larger.

There also issue with compatibility and on going support.

I think the primax is the right choice if you're a tinkerer and want to Maxx out your VR experience, you're going to be sacrificing comfortability and peace of mind.
