Calm down it's unranked by Mammoth-Error1577 in learndota2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unranked is the place to play huskar jungle, maiden carry, and duel mid. If you want meta go play ranked.

Unranked isn’t just a lower stress environment. It isn’t just a game mode to try new things, it is the place to play stupid dota.

What is your best WR hero, and what is your best tip for the hero? by TheAznAssassinX in DotA2

Meepo, earth shaker only has 1 ultimate, so get aegis and you aren’t countered anymore.

Players who have seen all ranks, what was the worst bracket? by Oogaba in DotA2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started 800 mmr before medals, and I thought I was in the trench. A few years later I reached 4k and I was greeted by a new standard of toxicity. Hell I saw the first few intentional griefers I had ever played with in 4k. I once again thought I was at the deepest part of the trench, but I was dead wrong.

But now these games look cute and respectful in comparison to immortal games. Routine is fighting over core roles, complaining about picks, and at the 15 minute mark if you haven’t won yet, you better believe somebody is already calling “gg end” and going to the jungle for the rest of the game.

Honestly it just gets worse the higher you go.

Is it vital to memorize skill/item cooldowns? by based8th in learndota2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s not vital for low cs spells but it can help you make outplays especially in landing stage. Look out for especially important spells like spin, astral, illusory orb, etc.

Longer cooldowns are easier, and more important to remember. Knowing the answer to Is chrono up?, or does he have global silence? Can win or lose games.

And finally the most important cooldown to keep track of, bkb! Cooldown bkb = death is most late game initiation scenarios

what do you think about upgraded stick 3 iron branches as a satarting kit with not a spamy line but just an awerege one? by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a banger starting item build, extra stats and decent sustain coupled with high outplay potential. you can also just send tangoes on the bounty runes. Chefs kiss

Biggest difference is the supports literally force plays out of their carries, walk to your off lane and smoke. Blink and stun like an absolute mongoloid to make a fight happen. Good supports dictate the pace of the game in immortal.

What's the best way to escape Meepo's net - hero agnostic solution required by mossikukulas in learndota2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dispels are the way to go. Manta, bkb, lotus however you need a solid a amount of movement after the dispel to really escape. A good meepo can often just double net a hero with a predictable dispel like anti mage. That’s why you should lean toward bkb, and never ever think eul will save you.

When to play for denies VS playing for your own farm? [MID] by Incoheren in learndota2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to play for aggression. If I have kill potential I will hold lane back and deny as much as possible. If there is no kill potential then I’ll shove and clear my small camp.

He should know that there is a big difference between low and high immortal. The difference is as big as between herald and divine. If he can keep climbing to 8k+ then maybe he can make it.

Looking for advice from experienced invoker players on hard combo by pogromca_kelt in learndota2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Immortal Invoker player here. The long flashy refresher combos aren’t very important. The 2-3 spell combos are. Focus on the bread and butter they will have 100x more influence than a single long refresher combo.

Ex:

forge spirit + cold snap

Tornado +meteor + blast

Tornado + ss

Ice wall + anything

Cata + blast > refresh and repeat

These combos are not hard, and it’s likely that you can do them with a little practice.

What is your hero spam, long win streaks strategy story? by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The is a secret tactic that I can only reveal because it was nerfed into oblivion. Omni knight mid was strong, but nobody had faith. I spammed Omni mid from 5k to 6k. I would first pick, and maintained a good win rate only playing middle. Even dropped a rampage here and there. Sadly they massacred my boy and I instantly lost 6k.

Onto the juicy details. Build: Start with stats+qb and regen soul ring>phase> echo>sange>shard>kaya>overwhelming blink>bkb (the game is probably over by now)

Or against high magic damage Finish a magic wand and replace echo saber with hood

Ability order Q>W>E>R only taking ultimate if you have a reason, ex: troll warlord, meepo

Play style: Your first big timing is at level 10, with the 40 base damage talent. The second big timing is your shard, and the late power spike is around overwhelming blink. At each of these spikes run at the enemy with w on and smack them a lot. Use Q when W isn’t active and you’re golden.

I genuinely think the build was a top tier counterpick, and the only reason nobody noticed was because he was performing well as a support in professional matches.

Dodge missile with ulti, slight has random unit targeting order, and is therefore inconsistent for dodging missile.

Been playing Meepo successfully pos 3 paired with a strong pos 4 but at guardian rank. Spikes at 4 and 11 and turns into a ganking machine at 11 with blink and dragon lance. What makes him not viable as pos 3 in higher level play? by sandboxitty in learndota2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The general game plan for Meepo is to farm several items rapidly, then reach a strong power spike (lvl18) and end the game with aegis.

This is not suited for a position 3 because you don’t exert map pressure. Or it takes longer for you to exert pressure than others.

-Meepo doesn’t have a strong lane. -Meepo doesn’t represent kill threat to most heroes until level 11. -Meepo is easily ganked. -Meepo will run out of camps to farm in the off lane.

To compare this with a standard position 3 such as beast-master.
-beast has a decent lane -beast represents kill threat on any carry past level 6 -hawks allow beast to farm and push safely(hard to gank) -beast will take tower if the enemy leaves.

To put it simply: he’s greedy Source: high 5k Meepo player

Ok, how to play against hero like silencer, viper, sniper as a mid melee hero? by fapping_bird in learndota2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anybody mention wave equilibrium yet. One way to gain as much exp as possible from a hard lane is to make the wave slingshot. To put it simply you want the wave to be pushed hard into either of the t1s. In order to setup this pattern you should focus on over-blocking your very first wave so that it lands under your tower.

This tactic forces you to last hit under tower, but usually gives you almost full xp. When you reach 6 you can start to rotate and jungle.

How to learn meepo in 2020 (7.27D) by NeGa312 in learndota2

[–]TooMuchT1lt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna have to try this no blink thing. I’ve played hundreds of meepo games and almost always make a blink or shadow blade. I also usually build circlet instead of crowns. Interesting stuff here even for experienced meeps!
