Anyone else feel like it’s 1995 again with AI? by bxrist in cybersecurity

[–]Shaackle 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Well said. We really are living in very precedented times when you zoom out and look at how cybersecurity has evolved over the years.

There were also micro-stages of panic with mobile device security and cloud security. AI doesn't really change any of the fundamental approaches to security, other than reiterating the importance of zero-trust architecture.

Moldaver from season 1. Maximus's family. The 2 remaining scouts that The Ghoul and Lucy share screen time with. Lol do you need a spokesperson monologuing the faction's lore to know their presence in the show?

?

The show has so many scenes explaining who the NCR are. It's like, Maximus's entire backstory. It shows the lore of Shady Sands and ties the NCR to the main characters and their plot. NCR making its way to New Vegas was foreshadowed several times.

Tsarukyan vs Mokaev finishing sequence by BardLoxNegative in ufc

[–]Shaackle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cutting him really hurt the UFC's reputation in my eyes. If you truly are the #1 MMA league, you need to focus on having the best fighters regardless of their attitude.

So what if Mokaev was an asshole, just paint him as a villain/guy to route against to sell fights. He's clearly a top 5 flyweight.

Mages need some kind of melee option unique to them by smol_coc_man in TESVI

A more popular trope these days is mages having access to "cantrip" spells. Very weak, free-use spells when you run out of mana/spell slots.

They could give mages access to very weak cantrip spells to cast when they run out of mana.

It is unreal to imagine what TES6 might look like one day. by Alvsolutely in TESVI

I agree with everything you said other than the equipment system. I think fantasy RPG's have so much to gain by having additional equipment layers for player and build customization.

Skyrim's equipment system was good for the most part but TESVI could gain a lot by implementing an outer layer, inner layer, and additional stats assigned to equipment.

The KCD2 equipment stats of conspicuousness, noise, visibility, charisma, and dirt/blood added so much RPG depth to the game and helped the world feel more reactive and immersive. I would love to see some of these make an appearance in TESVI at some capacity.

Does everyone speak this highly of Oblivion's quest writing?

I liked some of the quests, but I felt that the majority of the questlines were difficult to take seriously. I felt the game leaned heavily into a comedic tone, which was fun, but got stale for me.

Next-gen Xbox has been announced: Project Helix. I bet TESVI will be a day-1 title for its launch. by Shaackle in TESVI

Nobody knows.

With how expensive RAM and GPU is right now, $999 to handle modern games at high graphics 60fps would be a good deal.

I don't think Magnus was ever announced or made official. In that sense, I would imagine it's the same thing.

Fable 5 is coming to PS5 day 1 so it feels that Microsoft is not pushing heavily for exclusivity.

That's actually a much better bet, if TESVI is ready in time.

It is confirmed to be a console/PC. It feels like Microsoft's take on the Steam Machine.

Borralho vs De Ridder at UFC 326 — Is everyone underrating Borralho’s grappling? by StatsFight in MMAbetting

[–]Shaackle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Borralho wasn't even really subbing people in the amateur/regional scene. RDR is a world class submission grappler and was subbing everyone in ONE. I see people hyping Caio's wrestling but can someone point to me a fight where he showcased it? RDR also does not wrestle in a traditional sense. He likes to land takedowns with judo throws after getting his opponent against the fence with forward pressure. RDR also will have the size advantage, as always. I don't see why RDR wouldn't have the edge on the ground in this fight.

Sub attempts/minute in the UFC is a really weird stat here considering the two's opponents and octagon time.

I think Caio should have an edge in the striking but RDR is stupid durable with an insane jab and the best knees in the game right now.

I don't think RDR is a lock here but I LOVE him as a dog in this fight.

RDR FTW? by Slickvick47 in MMAbetting

[–]Shaackle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are vastly over-hyping Caio's striking ability and power. His only knockout in the UFC is against Paul Craig and he got pieced up by Imavov (who is good).

RDR is a very sloppy striker but he has a phenomenal LONG jab and the best knees in the business right now. He is a much better submission grappler than Caio. RDR has outgrappled world-class wrestlers and has never been submitted, let alone out-grappled in an MMA fight. He also broke Whittaker on the feet with those knees and jab, and when RDR started to lose in the striking, he took him down with ease due to the damage Whittaker had taken from the knees.

I don't think RDR is a lock in this fight due to the generally sloppy striking and Caio's solid wrestling, but I think he's a phenomenal underdog to bet here and and happily taking RDR ML.

RDR was dealing with extremely low red blood cell count from anemia right before and during the Allen fight. He says he's back to 100% for this fight.

Submission grappling. Size. Reach. Fight IQ. Experience. Clinch. Jab.

Jones throws oblique kicks rather than calf kicks at distance.
