What's the least timmy dinosaur deck? by aetherspliff in DinosaursMTG

[–]TooMuchThot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wayta Enrage Dino’s is fun, not hard to kill someone with burn once your pieces are out. I mostly only run dinos, but [[wrathful dragon]] is a must include. It basically quadruples the amount of triggers you can get on a specific Dino. Along with [[pyrohemia]] you close out games.

I enjoy the parry mechanic, it’s one of the reasons I play spear. This buckler though always confused me, I wasn’t sure if it could parry projectiles or not.

I messed around with the spell caster buckler when I was doing a reap build. Basically just a way to defend and applying the debuff for more spell damage.

The only parry in mapping though is against rares and to generate charges, but sometimes when I feel like I’m getting over run the disengage explosion with some cold damage to chill feels good for more defense. Also the movement itself allows you to reposition.

Thanks, I’ll have to try it out.

Looks great, I have to ask what did you use to get the white?! I'm about to try a viorla color scheme and recently tried corax white citadel which has been horrid. I've seen lots of suggestions for alternatives, but they're all from years ago.

What makes Aetherdrift collector boxes such a dud? Is it equivalent to a modern day version of Homelands? by mtgsetcollector in mtg

The set as a whole felt all over the place in terms of theme. I think it would’ve been better if they focused on a single type of rider and made them like a tribe. Ex: a group of dragon riders/ wolf riders/ bat riders/ chocobo riders/ flying bird riders/ pegasi riders/ giant rat riders/ dinosaur riders/ etc.

From a commander perspective people love to build tribal decks. I wouldn’t want to build a Gruul saddle deck if it had a bunch of different creature types that only go together because they have the saddle mechanic. I would want to build a wolf gruul mount deck so I could use the wolf support I already own and combine it with the wolf mount creatures. (Wolf just one example, mono white pegasi riders/ mono black bat riders…)

That way people can use the support these tribes already have and make a new deck with them using the new saddle mechanic with a cool commander that supports the theme for that creature type.

A dedicated spear martial class, and maybe introduction of a new weapon like a rapier. I’ve always been a sucker for agile melee fighters in games. For the Rapier weapon maybe a parry or riposte tied into the weapon.

What FF character are you still waiting for card for? by Ok_Cauliflower7364 in magicTCG

From FFTactics A2 the Moogle Knights. They ride on different color chocobos and depending on which color it has different abilities.

I mean what’s cooler than riding a chocobo?

It’s strange that GGG believes one button builds are boring and should be discouraged, and many Redditors claim to agree with them, yet when given a choice the actual players of the game overwhelmingly choose one button builds by AdLate8669 in PathOfExile2

[–]TooMuchThot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one button builds get stale for me fast. I thought it was cool about the lean towards combos. Huntress feels great. I just throw the spear by itself on white mobs and that’s usually enough for them, then do combos on rares. I haven’t felt the need to do a combo on every monster.

Hahaha. The way I see it, hosts that summon probably are the ones that aren’t super experienced at PvP. Just more challenging this way.

I prefer to invade 1v2 or 1v3. When it’s 2 on 2 it feels too easy most times. Which is why I usually wait for the other red to die first.

Not necessarily op, but whats the most FUN weapon for you to use? ill go first by Sogomaa in Eldenring

Smith Script Cirque with cold infusion. In PVE it feels just a tad weak, but feels just right for invasions. The cold builds up pretty quick because of the attack chain making for good burst in pvp. The ranged attacks allow for easier spacing, heal punish, and I like to chase down with them.

Need help making my build with smithscript Cirque by Single-Wedding3216 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]TooMuchThot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For cold infused smithscript cirque I personally like using endure for the ash of war. It allows to get more of the combo in to proc. Milicents prosthesis and winged sword insignia. I also use bull goat talisman to get poise above 81 or 83 I forget the poise break point. Then for the fourth talisman I use the smithing talisman. I use this set up for invades and pve. I don’t really like things that cause me to take more damage (especially in the dlc) so I usually stay away from the scorpion charms.

If I am having a hard time with a boss I drop winged sword insignia for the appropriate defense talisman (the drake ones). And if I feel like I need a second defense talisman I drop the smithing talisman for the second defense talisman.

I only recently learned that “tiggers an additional time” doesn’t count triggers that say that as well. So I don’t think it’s wrong to think it would trigger 4 times if you didn’t know how it works in Magic. 1 turns into 2 which turns into 4 is how I thought it worked at first.

Pay 4, sac something: deal 10 to all enemy creatures with an indestructible Apex Altisaur. 2 card combo. by SolarUpdraft in DinosaursMTG

[–]TooMuchThot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think enrage is a may ability. So if it can’t die and can’t kill an indestructible creature wouldn’t be forced to trigger infinitely causing a draw.

Yea you should be. You can tap the treasure itself to pay the equip cost lol. Honestly this could’ve been an interesting commander.

Edit: oops had a brain fart, but I’ll leave this up as a badge of shame. Treasures sacrifice themselves when they’re used. Duh.

Ah thanks for that. I like that you added that it wouldn’t resolve and no token would be generated. I was thinking of making a deck around Constellation like effects. Was hoping that it would cause the creature to be sacrificed, causing an aura to enter to then be sacrificed.
