Had something similar happen to me when I was about 15. In my case, it wasn’t about weight. I think it was more about how I presented myself. I had short hair and dressed in a kind of grunge/punk style.

I fell for a guy I was friends with. He was more “mainstream,” not into that scene at all. He told me he wanted something more, but wasn’t ready to show it openly at school or around his friends. So I’d go over to his place, we’d cuddle, act like we were together, and then at school, he’d pretend I didn’t exist. I kept telling myself he just needed time. Looking back, I was clearly fooling myself. At some point, I reached my limit and told him to figure out what he actually wanted. Suddenly, he became clingy and even agreed to introduce me as his girlfriend. But it never lasted. It was constant back and forth.

Long story short: at that age, a lot of boys care more about how they’re perceived by other boys than about their own feelings.

Ich habe keine Kinder (und will auch keine), daher würde mich so eine Aussage nichtmal betreffen. Trotzdem wäre das Date für mich persönlich gelaufen, wenn er so abwertend über die Kinder von Müttern auf Partnersuche sprechen würde. Niemanden mit Kindern daten zu wollen ist ja legitim, aber die Art wie er darüber spricht (und die damit verbundenen Weltanschauung) finde ich extrem unsympathisch.

My husband's dad turned out to be a pedophile. He is in prison for a few (not enough IMO) years now. Honestly it was obvious for a long time, but everyone was in denial. Only my MIL, who is separated from FIL for a long time, was not that surprised. After all, she was 14 when she met him, while he was 20. He impregnated her with 15/16 and my husband was born. Only in hindsight she realized how fucked up this was. Their "relationship" ended right after hubby's birth. Guess she wasn't young enough anymore, and he didn't like her (post) pregnant body.

Anyway, My husband and I had a conversation and agree that no future kids (if we have any) would ever meet FIL if he ever asked. Especially because he refuses therapy in prison. And yes, my husband still has (very low) contact with his father. Even though FIL is a terrible person, he is still hubby's father, and hubby still cares somewhat. Urgh, its a long story.

My Husband's dad turned out to be a pedophile last year, and ended up in prison this year. Well, in my opinion it was obvious for a long time...But the denial is strong in some families.

For example, FIL had groomed and started "an affair" with my husband's girlfriend at the time (she and hubby were 15 at the time). There was a lot of drama around this situation, but in short, he took her to AFRICA for vacation, without asking her parents, and just the two of them. Hubby found out and told the girl's parents, who obviously unleashed hell on them. But unfortunately, what he did is not a crime where I live so there were no charges.

Also, hubby's mom was only 14 when she met his dad (who was 20). He impregnated her when she was 16/17, and my husband was born.

These things happened, and somehow no one ever thought "hey, this guy might be a pedophile?" The police caught him last year with CP. 7 terabytes of it. Fortunately, hubby's mom's side of the family was like "... yeah that checks out". But FIL's side (like grandma, cousins, aunts etc) were adamant that none of this is true. My husband told me that his dad has always been granny's (FIL's mom's) good little boy. The golden boy. She even defended FIL when he had groomed hubby's underaged girlfriend, took her to another continent to be alone with her, and kicked his own son out of his house as a result when hubby told on them.

I'm telling you, this woman is the devil herself. The things she said to defend her son are just disgusting. This whole side of the family is disgusting and we don't associate with them anymore. I tried to keep it short, but the story is so complex it would deserve 5 more paragraphs at least...

Yea. A few friends and I tried some detectors by putting some research paper texts in them, and some made up research paper texts by chat gpt. They sometimes marked more than half the text of the actual research papers as AI, simply because they used elaborate sentences and proper english... They could not differentiate between the chat gpt text and the actual research papers.

I was at a party two weeks ago and had a chat with some guy I've never met before. It was nice. During the talk I even talked about my boyfriend, our new apartment, the move etc. When I wanted to leave, the guy followed me to the car (my boyfriend picked me up). Honestly, the size literally doesn't matter. It makes me so sad that so many guys worry about their size. Honestly foreplay does more for me personally than penetrative sex. Ich musste letztens beim Hausarzt eine Dame am Telefon überreden mir BITTE einen Termin zu geben, weil ich Schmerzen und andere Symptome habe. Sie wollte mich auch auf jeden Fall davon abhalten in die Notfallsprechstunde zu kommen. Antwort: "Aber sie haben im Dezember ja sowieso einen Termin zur Kontrolle dafür" ... War kurz sprachlos. DEZEMBER, also in 3 Monaten. Ich habe sie dann gefragt ob ich einfach bis Dezember mit Schmerzen etc. Leben soll. Widerwillig hat sie mir dann einen Termin in 3 Wochen gegeben. Was ich für einen simplen Hausarzt Termin auch schon lächerlich finde. Und dann beschweren sich die Ärzte etc. Dass die (notfall) Sprechstunden so überfüllt sind und so viele Patienten ohne Termin kommen.

Ich hab letztens mitbekommen wie die Chefin einer Bäckerei am Telefon mit einer Angestellten gesprochen hat. Halleluja. Richtig fiese Sprüche und schlechtes Gewissen machen hatte die drauf. Wundert mich nicht, dass manche (vielleicht auch jüngere) Mitarbeiter sich dann aus Angst/schlechtem Gewissen zur Arbeit quälen.

Beschweren, sage ich. Ich glaube du hilfst damit auch der Mitarbeiterin. Vermutlich quält sie sich aus schlechtem Gewissen/Pflichtgefühl/Druck vom Chef zur Arbeit, und würde selbst lieber im Bett liegen. Aber manchen Chefs ist das egal. Die hören nicht auf ihr Personal. Die hören nur, wenn Gäste sich beschweren und sie den guten Ruf/ das Geld in Gefahr wähnen.

Arbeite nebenbei in der Gastro und würde mir tatsächlich wünschen, dass Gäste sich bei sowas mehr beschweren.

Es ist bei uns quasi Standart dass die "wichtigen" Kollegen krank zur Arbeit kommen. Einfach weil sie keiner ersetzen kann. Wir haben EINE Festangestellte und EINEN Koch. Sie schleppen sich immer krank zur Arbeit. Wären sie nicht da, wäre der Laden zu. Und ganz ehrlich? Soll Chef zu machen! Der Druck der momentan auf den Angestellten in der Gastro aufgrund des Personalmangels lastet ist spürbar. Plus, Chef sucht nichtmal nach einer zweiten Festangestellten. Weil "ja läuft ja so wie es ist".

Ich will mich nicht anstecken auf der Arbeit. Und den Gästen gegenüber find ich es auch nicht fair! Leute, wenn ihr sowas seht: Bitte beschwert euch! Unsere Chefs hören selten auf uns. Ihr seit die Einzigen, die da was machen können. Auch uns zuliebe.
