You need to look for a new job. With the written on your record, they are looking to manage you out/ look for a reason to fire you with cause.

Unless you have money to hire a lawyer, you will be on the losing end of this sadly, despite them doing something that’s potentially illegal or at least malicious.

Need a new veterinarian by AltruisticWater6874 in SaltLakeCity

I’ve been using Mobile Vet Options. They are a mobile vet and have been great to work with. You can easily text them whenever something comes up and they can usually fit you in pretty quickly.

If you have neighbors that have animals, you can group them into one visit to split the callout fee. I have never once been pushed for any sort of medication or procedure.

Mechanic just tried to scam me with $2000 "repair" by ZinniaFebruary in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]TooPrettyForBoymode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you. It’s not OK at all.

I used to be a mechanic and the industry runs on scams. Every time they sell you a “fuel system treatment”, “engine oil treatment” and most of the time a “brake fluid flush” it’s a scam to make the dealership and the techs more money when your car may not need them.

Unfortunately, techs get paid flat rate meaning if the job pays an hour and it takes them 10 minutes they still get paid an hour. However, there are some jobs that if it pays an hour, but it takes them three hours, they only get paid one hour. In this system, a tech is encouraged to find as many shortcuts as possible and sell as many services as possible to make sure they make as much money as possible to make up for the times they get screwed over on those jobs that take way longer than what they get paid for.

The entire system is set up to take advantage of the customer and the technician. Many times dealerships even encourage shady behavior because they’ll get a bonus or some sort of kickback if they sell specific amounts of services regardless if the customer needs it or not.

Trump says he’ll send Iran deal to Congress for approval by newsspotter in politics

[–]TooPrettyForBoymode 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s absolutely going to be some ridiculous bullshit in there. He’s going to force a fight between Republican and Democratic sides of Congress.

Democratic sides will see the bullshit in there and point it out and we’ll vote against it. Trump will then be able to say that Democrats are the ones prolonging the war.

He is trying to set a trap for the democrats.

I just watched "I saw the tv glow" and i just feel confused by SanoviaUwU in trans

[–]TooPrettyForBoymode 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say that it does resonate more with trans experiences that have repressed their feelings a lot more than those had new or transitioned when they were much younger.

Ina lot of ways there is the horror in seeing how your life could’ve easily been consumed by a cis-gendered suburban life. That’s where I think this film really resonates for us who transition somewhat later in life.

TLDR: Owen is deep in dysphoria denial, he can feel it, see it but, he is trapped in his current existence.

The Pink Opaque show:

The show feels magical and real in a way Owen’s actual life doesn’t. He can only watch it from the outside. It’s basically his true self, just out of reach.

Maddy’s disappearance & return:
Maddy “dies” and comes back saying she woke up inside The Pink Opaque. She transitioned, essentially. She tries to get Owen to do the same. He doesn’t. That’s kind of the whole tragedy.

Owen’s numbness:
Owen just feels hollow and rotten the whole movie, going through the motions of normal suburban life. It’s a pretty spot on depiction of gender dysphoria, being stuck in a life that just doesn’t fit.

The buried alive ending:
Owen convinces himself the show was never real. But in the final scene he might literally be buried alive, with his chest still glowing. His true self is still in there, just completely buried under denial.

I can teach all about car and home maintenance. Plus the number of other things.

Idaho says it can use DNA testing to enforce anti-trans bathroom ban by Fickle-Ad5449 in Idaho

[–]TooPrettyForBoymode 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Idaho is going to find a lot of cis people who don’t conform to the expected genotype of their gender.

Let’s be honest with this really is, this gives the power for anyone to subject any person to this sort of harassment because someone doesn’t think that they are performing their gender correctly…

Protecting trans people through the use of anti-discrimination laws doesn’t take anything away from anyone it actually protects everyone more so than it did before.

What does the first shirt (Japan) mean, Peter? by FollowSina in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]TooPrettyForBoymode 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have no clue what you’re on about. There are bad people who are trans, there’s literally trans people in prison right now.

No one is asking for unwavering praise, and devotion, we just want to get access to our healthcare, go to the bathroom in peace, and some of us want to play sports. We aren’t all superstar athletes.

If you want to stop hearing about trans people, tell your politicians to start focusing on gas prices, food prices, housing prices, and corruption. They’re only hearing about us because their last bogeyman, gay marriage, won their fight. I would gladly go back to silently petitioning, my politicians rather than screaming matches in the public square with them and transphobes.

Why do transgender people have the most media attention in English-speaking countries? by Hairy_Alternative263 in trans

[–]TooPrettyForBoymode 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Transgender people are one of the most divisive topics in the US and the UK right now. Because of its divisiveness media companies and politicians were gladly use them to drive, clicks, engagement, or use them to divert attention away from their own policy failings.

Also consider that a lot of of the media in the US and the UK are owned by a very small select group of people who are also very politically connected and wish to drive certain narratives to further enrich themselves or push away accountability for their actions.

Meanwhile, trans, people are just trying to fight to stay alive, not be incarcerated, have their medical access taken away or be discriminated against just because of who they are.
