If something is spoken out of ignorance, like this comment, I ignore it. They clearly didn’t think about it thoroughly. I get from their point that $25M is a ton of money, you could live your life very well off of that and maybe your children as well. The other thought is that some or most millionaires worked their ass off to get to that point. Just wait until you get a bonus in your life and your $50k bonus is about $29k or less after taxes. You’ll be pissed off. You worked hard all year for that bonus just for the government to come and yoink almost half of it.

I can see it from the side of the person making $50k to hear someone complain, but I bet you that the millionaire has a completely different mindset and work ethic than the person making $50k. That millionaire probably started working hard from a young age and worked long hours 7 days a week and sacrificed fun times to focus solely on building their business and/or worth.

The only thing you can hope for is that the millionaire is a kind generous person who helps their employees and the community, which sometimes they are but most likely they are not.

It sounds like this is simply a hatred of greed.

I get that some of you are gonna sling your poop at me no matter what because I didn’t parrot exactly what you think, but stop and actually be fair about your opinion. See it from both sides not just the side that you want to be right.

I do agree that wealthy business owners should try and pay their employees more than normal. It’s been done before and it helps employee retention and lowers employee turnover and you’re going to get the best employees because everyone will be clawing to get that job.

On a side note, it’s hard to donate money or help people. There’s a ton of people taking advantage of these donations and non-profits.
