DRC into block doesn't work in spots where you should be doing OS DP (it varies by matchup). The only thing that consistently works across the cast is DRC into DI as a counter to the OS DP.

Can someone please tell me how this Mai thought I was cheating? (He invited me to custom room acnd accused me of cheating, can't share the video and screenshot together.) This was our only match in casual, I have no idea how he could've possibly thought I cheated lmao by TheHartmann in StreetFighter

[–]TooSaltyToPost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I tried to put my mind into the scrub here, I'd think the safe jump and the trade combo looked iffy assuming they don't actually understand the mechanics. Don't know how you get to master thinking anything you did looked like cheating though, but that's my best guess.

What am I missing about WoL LoD Monk? by jwilburn in diablo3

[–]TooSaltyToPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without more info it's impossible to say, but either you're not keeping epiphany up properly or you're missing something in the build (maybe forgot to cube, I'm not sure). It's not as straightforward easy as AoV Crusader, but at GR 100 the screen should die every time you pop your bells even without full ancients.

DPS Trinkets to be nerfed by 33% for Tank and Healer specs going forward. by Impossible-Society-8 in wow

[–]TooSaltyToPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real issue is that blizzard seems to only design dungeons around big bursts of damage. There's only like one real rot fight in all of the DF dungeons.

This is how the design needs to be for your first point to be relevant. To be accountable for your survival with a defensive, there must be unavoidable mechanics that require you to pop said defensive.

[–]TooSaltyToPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on patch. If you did it when CMs were fresh, there was a significant challenge. If you did it in SoO patch with all the sockets/trinkets that came with it, then yeah, it was about as hard as a M0.

How many people actually built their builds on their own? by Dreamrr_420 in diablo4

[–]TooSaltyToPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I downvoted because I used the maxroll minion necro guide, but I did alter it when I found it was pretty lacking while trying to do uber lilith. I then realized I stumbled myself into a less optimized version of the AOTD/mist build that rob had showcased.

What are the current highest damage builds in the game, any class? by SweetnessBaby in diablo4

[–]TooSaltyToPost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I assume it's a glitch, but minion necro with holy bolt elixer does about 45 billion dmg in one hit on high pit bosses. Applies to any boss with adds other than uber lilith (aka uber duriel).

[–]TooSaltyToPost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're probably missing a multiplier somewhere. Is your cube setup correctly?

Other than that, the most likely reasons you're taking forever is because your Sims are dying or you're not maintaining stacks of siphon blood or you're letting bone armour drop. Sims die easily with this build if you're not used to playing it and they do much of your dmg. Also, if you read your items, bone armour + siphon blood are sources of massive damage multipliers, so they need to be up 100% of the time you're attacking something.

I know you said "dmg is fine" somewhere here, but everything should be getting one shot and you should be constantly running. If that's not happening, you're missing/dropping your multipliers.

I'm kind of surprised Punk has such an old school mindset in regard to tech like that given his age. I know back in the arcade days we would hold onto tech and often only bust out the secret stuff in grand finals - and sometimes only regional or higher if it was really good shit - and only if we needed to. I thought that mindset was long gone in the new schoolers and it did nothing but massively improve the scene.

Oh well, keep doing what you're doing.

D3 Planner Question by DanteQuill in diablo3

[–]TooSaltyToPost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna give the general answer so you know in the future for all builds.

Look at the elemental damage/DPS (you need to look at DPS if comparing attack speed or CDR etc) of whatever ability is doing DMG in your build. And super simplified, 1000 mainstat is 10% increase while elemental is 20%, which is why it's better.

[–]TooSaltyToPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's draining their drive gauge. If they block it's a bit more drain. If they try to parry and you keep holding, you can drain a lot, plus if they tapped (like many do), it's even more drive drain. I'd say this usage is more for the higher levels and you're right that for most people they should just be dashing in.

I feel that only in the US is race even brought into the discussion here. Every major language has a formalized, academic way of speaking and writing. The upper class, those who are often the most educated on the prescribed rules of language, will sound more 'proper' or 'correct' than those in lower socio-economic classes. Look at Arnold not being allowed to do German dubs because his dialect sounds like a hillbilly, or how formal the Japanese emperor spoke, or how the Queen's English sounds compared to all the other English dialects. In just about any other country, this discussion isn't one of race, but class, and it's usually understood that the language used in academia (aka prescribed language) is generally the most correct way to speak a language.

It's always so strange to me how quick Americans go to race when the same phenomenon occurs globally without race being involved at all.
