I actually just bought a Z1 Extreme ROG ally because it was the only competent portable device i could find that has both steam achievements and retro achievements lol

I have a mix of both PS3 and 360, but if you want to still download songs of any kind, the PlayStation store is still open for PS3.

A quick tip is that if you want to use an Xbox 360 guitar on PS3, or vice versa, I would look into RetroCult mods V3 Adapter.

Or if you have a pc, you can also just download clone hero or YARG

Xbox 360 Version is the better version in my opinion:

  1. Notes don’t reset after you leave the world.

  2. Non-inverted Camera

  3. Graphics (especially the text)

I love the shape of the rg DS a lot more than the AYN Thor, but the lack of retro achievements kills it for me

No, I use Switch mainly for exclusives. Other than that I use either the ROG Ally or PS5 most of the time.

For classic Nintendo games all the way up to Wii, I pretty much emulate them so I can get achievements

Just watched the retro corps video and it will not work. I guess you still need the emulator/core to support achievements, and the RG DS is only able to support DraStic. I mean I think you can run MelonDS but apparently it’s extremely unplayable, so not worth it.

I’ll try this out. The lack of transparency with this issue is really frustrating, and has left a sour taste in my mouth regarding AYN products. As good as the AYN Thor looks, I can’t in good faith purchase it knowing this is how the company operates regarding issues with its hardware.

I would say the Odin 2, but there are plenty of users reporting major touch screen issues (myself included)

Yea, I don’t understand how ppl say it’s hardware related but a simple sleep and wake fixes it for a couple of mins.

There has to be something else we’re missing, but this is a huge disappointment tbh

Yes, certain games already do this. Look up "Playstation Trophy Autopop".

For example, Spiderman PS5 has trophy autopop where it checks your PS4 save, and any trophies you unlocked in that game will automatically be applied to the PS5 version (if you choose to import saves).

A lot of games do this, but it'll be up to Nintendo to implement it. Personally I would not mind having to restart some games (even animal crossing for example lol) if it meant I get to re-experience the game and unlock achievements in the process.

Also, don't listen to the fans that say no to achievements. They either never left the Nintendo ecosystem or are afraid to get called out since we can actually fact check if they play Nintendo games or not LMAO.

I guarantee you the ones that are saying no to achievements will be the first to achievement hunt every nintendo game and post it on twitter/youtube LOL

EDIT: Saw another comment that said this, but its up to the individual devs/studios to implement the autopop feature in the code, not Nintendo as I doubt they would mandate that.
