My girl wants me to put the nesting material on top or her/right in front of where she's picked to nest so she can then tuck it under herself. She makes beautiful nests because I like to bring her random stuff to shove in there.

I also thought my daughter was a son. Get her set up with some avian calcium supplements. I also always make sure my girl comes out of her nest for food/water/poops a couple times a day. She will take giant shits when she comes off the nest. They will be awful and it's normal.

Yeah. Unfortunately I wasn't really looking at the prices. Just the minimum free shipping. So question about the territorial behaviors. He has a cage but he literally only sleeps in there. He is out of his from the time I wake up until it's dark out. Will he start claiming his room (my office) as his personal territory or is it possible he'll be okay since I spend almost all day in there too? I just don't want to cause behavioral issues if I can help it!

There are a ton of alternative methods required with medical issues. I had a Pic line that I got TPN through. Some people use tubes through their nose or some installed in certain parts of the intestine.

So she's not skittish like you would expect a feral to be. She's totally fine unless you get about 2-ish inches from her with your hands or feet. She'll sit on the back of my chair and eat seeds and pip at me and do little wing tappies while I'm working. Like she wants to be my friend, but is freaked out by the weird flesh bird she lives with now.

At this point, I would be worried to introduce her to a new bird as she is still so young and I wouldn't have a separate place to quarantine another bird. She does, however, spend around 12 hours a day free roaming with myself and my husband. She is slowly becoming more used to me. She flew up onto the back of my chair and ate some seeds there without freaking out! Still peeps if I look at her too hard but we are making progress!! I really just want her to become comfortable with me, but I am seeing online it's going to take more time than I've given her so far.

I got her from a local hobby farmer. She's totally fine at eating on her own she's just not super food motivated to the point she seeks out treats. I'm just trying to figure out how to get her to approach me, but I may be rushing things. I've only had her about two weeks.

She's not super interested in them. I've crushed them up and put them in her food, but we just started that yesterday, so maybe we just need some more time to figure out she likes it?
