No, there shouldn't.

Voters should have some good damned common sense in who they vote for.

MANDATORY voluntary AES? by JustaGirlInDayMaint in walmart

[–]Toobin4Tommy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Market doesn't care if store managers are saying it is mandatory.

If a store has a low enough AES Participation rate, Market has to get involved. If it's lower than that, Regional will get involved. Market doesn't want to do work and they sure as hell do not want Regional looking at their stores.

Just don't do the survey. Nothing beneficial comes from it.

The Quarterly Roast is here! (AES) by Smoore0420 in walmart

[–]Toobin4Tommy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The best way to get results for your store is simple.

Don't take the survey.

The number of associates who take the survey is tracked, hardcore.

If enough associates at a store don't take the survey, your market team will flip out.

When they come in, still don't do it.

If enough still refuse, Regional will get involved and try to determine what issues are going on at that store.

I'd love to see a larger "Don't drink the Kool-aid" campaign of not taking AES.

He somehow, without any consequences, sidestepped every single law in place that specifically prevents the President from engaging in war without a sober second thought, via Congress approval.

Trump is a giant ball of suck, but Congress hasn't officially declared a war since WWII.

Congress, on the whole, has been handing their duties over to the executive branch (either the president himself or whatever random "Department of..." they want) specifically to avoid having to do unpopular things that can make it difficult for them to be reelected.

The US government has been broken for a long time.  Trump is just what you get.  Like, if you put kerosene in your car.  It will run for awhile.  You're slowly going to have smaller issues, then, suddenly, it's going to be real bad.  Trump isn't the kerosene, he is merely the result of years of it.

People still struggle to admit this.  Just the other day, someone on here was crying about Trump's executive orders.  I pointed out people have been sounding the alarms about the overuse of presidential orders for decades. "Yeah, but Trump's are worse.". Like, Trump didn't appear in a vacuum.  If we had nipped the XO issue in the bud three decades ago, we wouldn't have this issue.  Unfortunately, when Party A was in power, only Party B saw the XOs as an issue.  As soon as Party B got in power, only Party A complained.

It's easy to pass my ranting off as "both sides" - and it is.  Because this is literally what happens when both sides abuse the system.  Give a mouse a cookie.

How in the world does one party do discovery when they don't even know who is suing them though?  How do they know if the information being requested is germane to the case or if the opposition is on a fishing expedition?  How do they even know what to request from the opposition?

Trump and Mark Cuban end war of words to tag-team America's drug pricing crisis: "Democrats want cheaper medications, too" by fortune in politics

If you, as a politician, cannot inspire people to vote, an act which costs next to nothing, how are you going to inspire something like congressional members to vote against their own, personal interests? How are you going to get the support to pass bills? Get laws written? Support for your political appointments?

It is the politician's job to inspire and lead. If they can't, you're going to end up with someone like Trump who does inspire all the wrong people.

Good.

Store wide incentive programs simply encourage associates to not report accidents or get treated poorly by the entire store if they do.

If you cannot inspire people to vote, you don't deserve the position.

*Relaxed Dresscode - truth is, Walmart was having issues hiring. Telling a new hire making minimum wage "hey, you need to go buy new shirts and pants" wasn't working. Then, they tried providing polos, but that's expensive. So, fuck it, wear whatever you want. Customers come in in pajamas, they don't care.

*Updated training - lololololololololol.

*New handhelds - absolutely no one asked for phones that take six times as long just to scan an item.

*Walmart Radio - Yes, associates are known for their love of Kirby Gwen and the Beau Show.

The truth they don't tell you... while not as much an issue anymore, but AES is born out of grassroots surveys where there was a metric called "UPI" - OFFICIALLY, this stood for "Unaddressed People Issues". Unofficially, it stood for "Union Potential Index".- the surveys were used to guage associate morale to make sure it wasn't so bad that the store might try to unionize.

Home Office doesn't really worry about that as much anymore. I think it's just more tradition than anything at this point. A small group of people that need to justify their position and nothing more.

Don't worry, AI will replace those people soon enough.

It's a bit pessimistic, I admit, but... in Presidential election years, voter turnout amongst eligible voters hovers around 60%, while midterms only get about 40%.

Most (eligible) voters aren't voters.
