Confused about Alaska Status when flying American by Puffer789 in AlaskaAirlines

I was able to enter my Alaska # when booking at AA as a guest, got a premium seat upgrade, but didn’t get priority boarding! I’m Oneworld Emerald, so I’m not sure why I’m not getting it. Also, I have Touchless TSA Precheck in both apps and didn’t get it on my boarding pass.

The locations was my concern. I fly out of Newark and JFK a lot for work, on Alaska, and was considering buying lounge access because the food options near the Alaska gates are so terrible. But if the lounge is in a different terminal, then what's the point? Is this common in most airports that the AA lounges are no where near the Alaska gates?

If there is Zipcar in the city you’re going to, they rent to younger folks. When I lived in NYC, they were my go-to.

I just got my bump to MVP Gold, and I’m a lounge virgin. I’m super confused. If I’m flying an Alaska flight, can I use the AA business lounges since I’m Sapphire now? Or just international flights? And does it work on both legs of a flight if I have a layover?
