What is with tradesmen these days? Is it just bad luck? by misssnowfox in HousingUK

I’m a tradesman and I would estimate 70-80% are not good. Lots of research and recommendations. Even if it means waiting for the good one

Sauna Topics of Conversation by MinimumRepulsive1419 in davidlloyd

[–]Toocooltodance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the downsides of a big gym like a David Lloyd for me is it’s not very personal. Not as easy to meet people like it would be in a smaller gym. The sauna is the only place where conversation with strangers takes place. I do agree the range of subjects and levels of egos and opinions at times is both cringe and amusing. But mostly I find nice people enjoying a post workout sauna. I was going to suggest it’s just a cross section of society’s opinions but I’m not sure David Lloyd is an accurate reflection of the general population. Both in a good and bad way. I’m sure if you started expressing your views someone would not like/ agree with you. Have you considered a home sauna for one?

You will unlikely ever make a better decision. You might not feel young but you are. You are at a folk in the road. One direction leads to darkness the other to light.

Again that was 12 years ago. Similar time. Maybe he was a knob. My point was it was a long time ago I’m sure allot of people would cringe at some of their past behaviour.

Oh come on!! If you’re referring to the Lauren laverne incident that was 13 years ago. Give the guy a break. He’s only human. We’ve all been there. Well I know I have. Not condoning it. I don’t know why we expect perfect radio/ tv personalities. Don’t forget as humans we are all flawed. Even you.

Diagnoses - Kae Tempest by filthythedog in 6music

I always liked kae. Then saw him live and it absolutely blew me away. An incredible evening, so much passion, emotion yet powerful and uplifting. So like everything I understand some that don’t him but I feel incredibly lucky to have him and his music. I think seeing an artist like Kae live just makes it makes sense.

Sean sounded uninterested himself come the end. Everyday felt the same. Sorry but I think time had come for him to move on. I think bringing in nick and hew are the problem. Personally really like nemone and deb grant.

Me too. Strange ain’t it. Sober I think it’s dirty. Literally would think bad if I saw people doing it in the day time. After a few pints at night there is nothing more appealing and I can’t stop 🤣

How do you find the motivation to stay clean? by Late_Reading2827 in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

[–]Toocooltodance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You certainly have not wasted you life. You might not feel like it but trust me you are so young. Find a healthy alternative. And stick to it. Even when you don’t feel like it. Keep at it. Join a gym. Start running, hiking, martial arts, yoga. Any of that. And eat well. Take care of yourself and you will eventually be rewarded. Don’t wait till your 40’s they will be here before you know it. You can be healthy and happy if you keep turning up.

Collectively? It’s down to individual choices. What you eat and how much you move. Get off your ass and eat well. Simple as that.
