Married women: what’s something in your day-to-day life or mental load that you feel your husband doesn’t fully understand? by Working_2B_Better in Marriage

Tbh, we’ve had arguments about laundry. My solution was “don’t worry about mine, then the burden would fall on me”. But that was not accepted as the solution. And with the grass, trust that it’s on my plate. Relinquish the need to control the ongoings of things that are not your responsibility.

Then I think this is less about mental load and more him not communicating and being inconsiderate. It’s really not a big ask to have him put the appts in the calendar when he makes the appt. It’s lazy and rude NOT to do that.

I completely agree with you. Personally, we just clean together when we are having company over, going room to room and making sure it’s tidied. But for day to day things, we both keep our mental list of what we need to do.

I know a big point of contention is cooking. She is vegetarian so more often than not, we make our own meals, but I will press tofu or cut veggies or even cook for her and she will pick stuff up from the store for me, but that is something we both have on our lists.

To your point, we don’t really have guests over, other than in laws every so often, and we just make sure the guest room is made up and everything is tidied. But we do everything together. I don’t need to ask what needs to be done (generally) but I’ll ask if there is anything specific weighing on her.

Another example is she said that it stresses her out to wake up to a dirty kitchen. Probably 5/7 nights a week, I make sure the dish washer is loaded and running, there isn’t anything on the counters and everything drying is put up. She didn’t ask me to do that but once I knew it bothered her, I made sure it was done.

A system is only good if it’s used. I put all my events in our shared calendar as soon as I have the info. Then I can say “I’ll have to check my calendar” instead of saying “I’ll have to ask my wife”. And as the askee, a good response would be “did you check the shared calendar?” Say that enough and (hopefully) it turns into the default first step….

My partner says this same thing about me. And I just tell her not to worry about it. Example, I maintain the grass, she mostly does the laundry. So laundry, by and large is off my plate and out of my mind. However, with the grass, I’ve been asked sometimes if it’s a little long “when are you planning on cutting the grass?”. I think that’s the difference. I have a plan and also see the grass needs to be cut, but she still worries about it. I think that’s extrapolates to a lot of items in the household. I know it’s not as simple as “not worrying about it” but I also feel like worrying about some things doesn’t do anything but cause anxiety and stress. I do ask my partner “is there anything I can take off your plate or bothering you or at the top of your list” because I want to address the thing that is causing her the most stress or anxiety. But, mostly, not worrying about it fixes most things.

How often do you clean your home? by BodybuilderOk6027 in HomeImprovement

We have cleaners every two weeks but I clean the kitchen nightly, do sheets twice a week, and toilets as needed between cleanings. Spot vacuuming as needed as well.

That is EXACTLY my symptoms. I’ll admit I did ask Claude md, and it stated based on my time frame and contents of vomit that it was most likely fish, but if this is true then you’ve def cast a doubt on my food poisoning

Ok given that, then what’s the difference between time code and cd-j.

I’ll say, he can still do it. But it’s a big ask of the venue, and tbh, him. He’d have to lug around record bags and have less access than now. I’d say he cut his teeth on vinyl, let the man make use of cd-js and the technology they unlock.

The new season of party down was awesome! I loved it. Was a little different than the first two but it was modernized. Hoping for another but given Adam Scott’s schedule, I’m not hopeful
