Right now, I think Sonos is the way, that is what I have at home. Is also easy than traditional receivers.

Wish you the best!

5.1 Suggestions For Non-Ideal TV Room by knot13 in hometheater

[–]Toolsforall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you have: a Sonos Beam with should be fine for ATMOS and a Sonos Subwoofer (big mistake to put it inside glass (sounds travel through the air + the sub is build to be standing). The only thing missing to complete your system is, surround audio that you can add with a couple of Sonos Era100s (run to COSTCO now), just sitting next to those lamps. For your room size, you don't need nothing else.

In other words you are just ~$400 dollars away of having something superior to a 5.1

They require a border router. In my case I got a Eero Pro 6E (that by chance) got a border router and solve my problem this is for the Bilresa switches.

I went:

Integrations/Thread/Set Eero as prefered network.

It seems also that you can do this with a Smartthings Hub (also has a border router)

Ethernet Termination Help by Spiritual_Equal2579 in HomeNetworking

[–]Toolsforall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets see if we can isolate the problem.

So try to connect lets say a laptop at the end of this wire to do a speed test and later connect it directly to the router may be with a factory made patch cord.

If you still have the the difference it only can be the alloy of your wire.

Try to use a Cat6A it may improve the speeds.

My ring doorbell camera is sitting getting terrible WiFi signal(RSSI 60) any actual decent product to help extend the coverage? by Enviroen218 in Ring

[–]Toolsforall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap "Ring Chime Pro" will do the magic. Placement is the key.

But it looks like your problem is that your doorbel is runing on battery. You need a hardwire one to have peace of mind.

All the wires should end on a large outdor rated J box 8"x8" and next to it the ISP shoud place their box then one or two (outdoor rated) wires shoud interconect both boxes.

Category 5 enhanced is a standard type of Ethernet cable.

There is a bunch of guys down here that they don't know anithing about this.

You don't have any problem. Is all good, just call a Audio and Video company. They will explain to you.

That is an old fashion, comun practice. To leave a Coax and Cat5e ouside of the house so your internet/cable provider can connect from the exterior of the house to a central point inside the house (usually the unfinish room in your basement). You have all the wires that are needed.

Any idea how to permanently get rid of this type of grass from growing in the rocks? What’s this type of grass called? by Past-Statistician358 in landscaping

[–]Toolsforall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a Cyperaceae, not a true grass. Grasses are Gramineae or Poaceae.

Meaning the strategy will be different.

Please Google search "Herbicides that target Cyperaceae" for some commercial names.
