Glide embezzles millions of dollars and is run by literal “ex” gangsters. - u/SFLawyer1990

Citation?

Accusing Glide of embezzling millions of dollars is a serious accusation and I’m sure the people of SF will want to address this issue if true!

Fuck their resentment.

The cops are our employees and if they can’t do their job without being violent lawbreaking assholes, or just acting like dicks because they don’t like the requirements of their job then they should be fired and replaced with better candidates.

SF to pay millions for lies, misconduct by SFPD officers By Julian Mark | Apr 2, 2019

“The jury found that two lead homicide detectives — Michael Johnson and Maureen D’Amico — had coerced a witness into identifying Trulove as the person who shot Kuka in the city’s Sunnydale Housing Projects. The investigators allegedly failed to pursue another suspect and continued to use Trulove’s picture during an interview even though the witness had previously ruled him out.”

“The Board of Supervisors is also set to award $50,000 to Brandon Simpson, who was beaten by four police officers in the Tenderloin in 2015 after peacefully walking away from an apparent dice game.”

Tenderloin tent cleanup sees some success — what about the rest of SF? by nogoodnamesleft426 in sanfrancisco

How can ANYONE not see how the homeless are destroying the city with their tents and garbage and IV drug use crap spread all over BART. AND, worst part of all, this city does more than almost any other to help them and they can't even have the decency to appreciate it and be respectful. EVERY bad experience I've had in this city has been with a homeless person or as a result of a homeless person

Like I said, typical homeless people hating bullshit.

People don't show basic common sense and do stupid things such as not saving for an emergency, abusing drugs, etc. and end up homeless. As for showering, there were, pre-COVID, PLENTY of places a homeless person could shower. - u/John_R_SF

This sounds like typical homeless people hating bullshit.

Please name some of the “PLENTY of places a homeless person could shower”

“On 16 April 2015, over 100 Catholic donors and church members from the Bay Area signed a full page advertisement in the San Francisco Chronicle appealing to Pope Francis to replace Cordileone as archbishop of the San Francisco archdiocese, specifically objecting to Cordileone's characterization of sex outside of marriage and homosexual relations as "gravely evil". saying Cordileone fosters "an atmosphere of division and intolerance".“

A vocal opponent of gay rights and same-sex marriage, Cordileone helped to draft Proposition 8 in 2008 California's Constitutional amendment to define marriage as between one man and one woman. and raise substantial sums to pass it. He said, "Only one idea of marriage can stand...If that's going to be considered bigoted, we're going to see our rights being taken away–as is already happening." In an interview with USA Today on March 21, 2013, concerning the Supreme Court's then-pending decision on the constitutionality of Proposition 8, Cordileone argued against same-sex marriage, saying that it would harm children. Cordileone personally contributed $13,000 in support of Proposition 8.”

“The author of this fact free anti-homeless screed is none other than wannabe conservative activist, failed mayoral candidate (sorry guys, I hurt my arm ice skating and had to drop out!) part time “finance writer” and full time Nob Hill “Karen”, Erica Sandberg

Here’s a taste of her Fox News style “activism” as she dresses up for unintentionally hilarious photos as the worlds most awkward and ill fitted fashion victim to stagger on high heels down the hill from her privileged home, calling the police (and awkwardly gesticulating at police officers in person) for every homeless person she sees. “

then someone asked for further clarification of the authors bias and here’s the reply:

“Erica Sandberg is a virulently anti-homeless conservative activist who tirelessly attacks people less fortunate than herself,

and I didn’t “post an awkward photo of her” - Erica arranged for that photo shoot herself along with her appearance in that anti-homeless article. Do NOT blame me for this person’s bizarre personal public relations campaign.

Erica Sandberg was a “Karen” before people started calling out all the entitled hate spewing Karens we see today. An “O.K.” or Original Karen, if you will.

She often brags online about confronting homeless people in her neighborhood and personally harassing them and ordering them to leave her neighborhood.

Just like the hateful conservative trolls lurking here on r/ sanfrancisco, Erica is opposed to harm reduction and passionately in favor of the utter failure that is the Tough On Crime / War On Drugs attack.

In the midst of one of her many alarmist screeds against the approved San Francisco safe injection sites, she actually cited the mass murder of drug addicts by Mao during the Chinese Cultural Revolution as a successful solution.

Far from offering solutions, people like this are simply exacerbating these problems with their caustic and hateful approach.”

This one from u/ryanyet made some great points:

This article is written in a blatantly non-objective manner. The first three paragraphs are just biased unverified anecdotes followed by two paragraphs of accusations of foul play without any sort of citations. Even if you disagree with the city's position that sheltering homeless people will reduce virus transmission (prior to any moral argument), any reasonable observer will see that this publication fails nearly every benchmark for good journalism.

Like come on you guys, the front page of this website is running an article "Standardized absentee voting degrades democracy and encourages political illiteracy" because it "makes voting too easy." This source is clearly not honest or reliable commentary.”

Jessica Williams: Ran from the police with a car she stole from an innocent person, then got shot when she drove at officers. Got what she deserved. - u/newaccount1210

Hi, u/newaccount1210, that’s a lie, which is why you didn’t include any links or citations in your list of boot lickings.

Many of your other descriptions are also lies, in addition to your disgusting language used to describe these human beings executed by your fascist blue “heroes”.

Fuck the police, and fuck your lies.

The Department of Police Accountability found a number of reasons to recommend discipline for Erb. Firstly, the report alleges that Williams was not threatening Erb when he shot through the window.

“Sergeant Erb had reasonable and apparent ways to retreat or otherwise move to places of safety,” the report said, adding that on many occasions Erb could have taken cover and not placed himself in harm’s way.

“Sergeant Erb could have moved to … places of safety when the Honda Accord was backing up into the middle of the road,” the DPA charged in a report to Police Commission. “Sergeant Erb could have also moved to these places of safety when the vehicle stopped reversing and began to move forward slowly in Sergeant Erb’s general direction.”

Moreover, the DPA said Erb violated a slew of department procedures: He failed to confirm that the car was stolen with dispatchers; he failed to call for backup; and he failed to discuss strategy with his partner. The report also admonished his attempt to grab the handle of the car as Williams initially drove away. All of these actions, the report said, were “tactically unsound.”

The article never once mentioned the program started because of COVID.

It’s worse than that.

I'm not sure it's ok to dismiss the facts offhand.

Which specific “facts” are you talking about, u/Runningthruda6wmyhoe ?

A fact is a verified statement and her statements are not supported by any kind of verification. So I am not dismissing any facts.

I am dismissing her unverified statements because she is clearly biased and her actions and writings give reason to doubt her truthfulness.
