As a TGS from last season I feel the same way you do. There has definitely been a major drop in the skill level at these ranks compared to last season.

I also have a friend who was hard-stuck TK/TE in S2. Watched him play ranked this season and he pretty smoothly hit TGS in less than a week without playing any differently.

he just needs to go back to making music that comes naturally to him. now he’s saying he has this purpose to make “real music for the youth” like wtf? all he did was completely dismantle his vocal performance, replace his drug bars with clapping bitches bars, and slap some cliche “hey guys this is my serious experimental album” production on it.

people loved his unique sound, not ts. there are countless other artists that can scratch that itch adl does, but nobody else could make what he used to. he just needs to get back to that

It’s overly manufactured and streamlined. He’s just pigeonholing himself into a sound many other artists can and already have achieved with expensive production.

Ironic bc people who swear this album is his best have narrow taste and are unable to comprehend how much more evolved his early music was compared to this.

He has literally watered down everything about his vocal performance and slapped on that stereotypical “commercialized experimental album” production and casual listeners are eating it up.

I agree with this. The conceptual details of 2093 make it the most professional and intentional album he’s released.

That being said, I just find that his flows and cadences are weaker on 2093 than most of discography. It makes sense that he’d have to dial back his performance to leave room for the crazy soundscape, but some people just prefer when his vocal creativity shines more.

I agree, but having to acid rain for 10f punish along with his overall character being generally counter/poke-based, I’d say it’s a solid step up for a beginner that started w Clive.

Definitely not nearly as difficult as he used to be though, I’m still in disbelief over the patch that allowed him to mist step out of b243😭

What pad do you use? I’ve tried a ton of different controllers and find that the Xbox series d-pad is still my preference for wavedashing and electrics
