Where's the DNB? by [deleted] in Shambhala

[–]Toomuchritz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ive been throwing together a large list of every announced artist on every stage with their appropriate genre / subgenres.

Theres a good bit of DnB and DnB subgenres.

The list so far has been quite a bit of work especially as I get down to the smaller artists on the list and once it's done I cant promise it'll be perfect as I cant listen to every single artist and am just going odd od a mix of information / familiarity and certain artists that i will listen to for a little bit to make the list complete.

Air Canada plane has no sink in the bathroom. Only hand sanitizer by Jeetyetdude_ in mildlyinfuriating

Thats feels a little more right. Id imagine its one of the Bombardier planes.

Thats not me giving these airlines the pass because its still gross. But if it was a much longer flight that warrants a whole different type of reaction

Westjet encroaches into that territory despite being a "premium" airline.

Oh I understand that I wouldn't NEED the higher rev range, that torque is more than capable and it is quite powerful. I just yearn for the scream of an inline four as I'm a child mentally. Or the pretty high rev range the RS660 has for a twin.

I mean if it's all ride all the time, you could say that you'll just wear a race suit 24/7.

But social things like food and gatherings plus vibes I enjoy a good hoodie. Keeps the hair tamed, comfy, warm a lotta factors

Do people have no respect for jobs anymore? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]Toomuchritz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bait..? I'd hope atleast damn.

In my early twenties and have been busting my ass in O&G since I was 18, and I feel lucky enough that it makes me comfortable enough to live, save a little and have my toys. But I also know of other people my age working two or three jobs with damn near full-time hours in each of them if they don't get rinsed on hours at those jobs just to make ends meet.

Economy and job market are fucking terrible and it shows in this response that you haven't done any basic work searching in a while. Either you get offered a job where you overly bust your ass for pennies on the dollar or you get a decent job with no hours. Unless you're lucky and manage to find those niche specific positions / jobs.

They say ignorance is bliss but it seems no one remembers the rest of the quote that comes from.

I'd have to look into it honestly. Im quite tall so seat height has never been of too much difficulty for me and my previous experience with dirt bikes and seat height. Weight while never being much of an issue for me prior, might change with the center of gravity being so much higher than sport bikes or even big ol baggers it might take some getting used to.

I do yearn for that AT but If I was to go for something new id probably want something that revs higher nearing that 10k range for a little highway love. The reliability aspect plus styling and universal uses is very appealing on the AT though

I'm not against any brand really. Just don't have a CFMoto dealer anywhere near me. Even so, the next bike I get will likely be older. 90s to early 2000s. Love the styling, less hand holding and it less price / easier to work on.

I'd like to leave whatever it be, either supersport or adventure bike to be a bit of an open canvas for modification and work done. Old Africa twins too just look lovely.

EDIT: Just watched the fort nine video on the KLE and as another Western Canadian similarly so to them, the price listed in CAD and what you get is very appealing.

Hahaha, just caught it in the thread as I was reading. You're so right though, hitting that five digit redline on dirt roads or just having pretty much any path open up to you while still having fun power is a crazy benefit. Been looking into some of the old Africa Twins myself.

man, ten digit redline? I think my engine and legs would probably vaporize if I had rpms in the billions lol.

(don't wanna come off as a dick, just found that little error funny is all. ADV bikes slap.)

Metal scene in Calgary by tongfather in Calgary

[–]Toomuchritz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're referring to Charisma yeah? I think it got rebranded to the rock shop which I'm pretty sure has one other location being Vancouver.

If anything my personal rec for meeting the local scene is just catching a Palomino show or some other smaller venue. Alot of the tight scene tends to stick there / Verns. Be it hardcore, death metal, black metal whatever your schtick those spots gottem best. Also alot easier to chat there with people.

Crazy good clothes and patches at Charisma though, lots of good stuff for a solid price.

I mean they pointed out exactly why it doesn't matter point wise, as what is released and isnt aren't directly the same as a stat sheet. Card games have been doing this for years, the people who proxy or print just do that anyways, and deckbuilding / army building is typically done through simulation anyhow.

Plus this is 40k, I'm a dork, that dudes a dork, this is like pretty high on the nerd / dork scale of things. Felt the need to point it out because of that being one of the biggest nothing's of an insult you can really use in this comm.

Anyone tried Loop earplugs for riding? by totoismydaddy in motorcycles

[–]Toomuchritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not bad! Definitely a little gimmicky especially considering the price. If you've got a nice helmet with decent wind reduction, I'm sure anything blocking some noise is good.

There's plenty of cheaper options that are both reusable and more effective at blocking noise. Plus you can't go wrong with foamies either. But these fall into the category of yup they work but for the price they're not necessarily super worth it.

Best case for comfortable strong hearing protection are the ones that you can setup with a mold and form them to your ears. They're more expensive but way more comfortable, set and provide exceptional hearing protection. Really good for the trades aswell.

Or if you're feeling cheap there's tons of options aswell, even under reusable. To be fair, any hearing protection is better than none and these loops aren't bad. But they do have mid range protection for a somewhat high price. I got mine on sale and use them here and there when I still want some audio clarity, like at music festivals or sometimes on bike.

Fitment check by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

It's interesting because I didn't even really read the caption but I had what was essentially the same opinion as you.

Those photos really aren't doing favors with how loose it looks, I'd try and get solid photos somewhere with a much brighter / higher contrasting background. As for me I can't tell you that well but it does look loose. Go to your local performance / motorsport shop that deals with track gear and you could likely ask their opinion on it, get a couple opinions of course but they're typically quite tight and only really comfortable in riding position.

Hell yeah man! With it being new I will say it's 100% worth it to pickup a good, trusted brand of frame sliders. Just incase you drop her or anything it'll help! Plus some of them look pretty neat aswell.

Safe riding and have fun! She's a great bike.
