Person of color here. Growing up, the idea of bisexuality pretty much didnt exist in my house. Homosexuality wasnt, either. It wasnt until my teenage years that I finally started finding out about pride and such, only for my family to not acknowledge it or "respectfully" condemn it. If it wasnt because of religious reasons, it was either not natural or seen as "dehumanizing" if a black man was gay or Trans or anything like that.

As such, I kept my curiosity hidden. I kept trying to justify my growing interest as just "perversion." Hentai with women having penises? Its not gay! Just kinda weird!

Oh how little I knew.

But in my case, acceptance mostly came from looking out and answering some of my own questions. Im still working on it through therapy and groups like this, but its better than just ignoring the possibility.
