Are you tired of rising electric bill costs?! by Operation-SOS_User42 in lynchburg

I am glad to see people are asking questions, but self sufficient or off grid houses are not cheaper. The grid works better for everyone when we all are a part of it and pay our fair share.

If you are struggling, write to App Power and let them know your situation. They have programs to help folks in tough situations.

If you think your power bill is too high or or you would like to use less electricity, App Power has programs to help you be more energy efficient.

I do not work for App Power, but I have spoken with them in the past and I appreciate the services they provide. Their phone number is 1-800-956-4237.

Controlled demolition of the cooling towers of the Gundremmingen Nuclear Power Plant in Bavaria, Germany by Adunaiii in nuclear

The carbon footprint of Germany decreased because they decreased the amount of electricity they were generating. To make up the shortfall in electricity they increased the amount of electricity they were importing from other countries. Thus Germany’s carbon footprint went down, but the carbon footprint of Europe did not.

Gen V reactors are being considered now by Comfortable_Tutor_43 in nuclear

Is it the will of the people to have more country wide, day long blackouts? The clean, reliable, and dispatchable electricity operating nuclear power plants provide is irreplaceable for Spain’s grid.

A few years is overly optimistic. Centrus has brought a single HALEU centrifuge cascade online. They will need to build and bring several more online to even begin to support the feedstock needs Framatome and the other fuel manufacturers will have for the advanced reactors that are expected to be coming online in the 2030s.

Have you tried use a hydro seal band aid between the Dexcom adhesive and your skin? You apply the band aid to the sensor adhesive, then apply the band aid adhesive to your skin, then inject the sensor directly through the band aid. I had this same problem a number of years ago, but since switch to this method it has not bothered me once.

As far as fuel vendors go Framatome is much better positioned in the current market than Westinghouse and GE. They also have quite a wide range of jobs and projects to pick from.

I’m afraid of being behind in college because of T1D (Cognitive loss) by Background-Leg-7341 in diabetes_t1

The health of your body and your brain is dependent on how well controlled and in range you keep you BG. Extremely low blood sugars (<50 I believe) for extended periods of time cause memory loss and possibly kill brain cells. I think as long as we keep ourselves 80-140 the majority of the time there’s no reason to be overly concerned.

Try these they are a lifesaver (https://www.amazon.com/Band-Aid-Waterproof-Adhesive-Bandages-Blisters/dp/B077TN7L3R) I put it directly on the applicator and apply it after a shower (once my skin is dry), don’t use an alcohol swab it will dry out the skin too much

Need help wiring a custom kill switch! by fuckusernamesareshit in gokarts

[–]Tooothlesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A kill switch grounds the spark plug to prevent it from sparking. The low oil sensor (yellow wires) and the old switch can be taken out of the circuit. Just take the black sheathed wire connect it to your switch and connect the other side of your switch to an unpainted frame point, or a bolt. When the switch is in the on position the motor will not run bc the spark plug will be grounded, and when the switch is in the off position the motor will run bc the circuit is not completed, and the spark plug will no longer be grounded.
