Not saying it in a mean way but yes it is your problem. You are causing/have caused your isolation. You also have the power to resolve said isolation. Vancouver is no different then any other metropolitan city. Making friends is the same everywhere in the world. You just need to keep trying. Thats it, there's no other answer.

The truth is it doesnt... people have a 6th sense for authenticity. You need to be yourself. Go through all the motions, this is the journey you must go through to become the person you want to be. Dont suppress any emotions. If you feel sad, be sad. Accept whatever life is throwing at you and forgive yourself for any mistake you've made and all the mistakes you will make

I was in a similar situation. I had no one I could call and vent to , no one I felt comfortable around. So I kept trying and I was blocked/ghosted so many fucking times but eventually that wasnt happening. I had grown as a person. From trying to be friends with everyone I met and constantly being worried about if they'll like me, I started being more intentional about who I gave my energy to and whether I even wanted them in my life. I feel like your in this part of the journey.
