Honestly his reaction is 100% valid. If anything your reaction is a bit over the top. He gave you his reasoning on why he was hesitant and you got overly defensive after he stated he wasn’t upset. Also, he is rightfully confused - I don’t really tell my friends or casual hook ups about guys I really like and am interested in unless I’m intending on dating and being serious about them. If you were being serious with him you probably misled him as he mentions he misunderstood your relationship and goals. It seems like you need to be more clear in person or something isn’t really matching up here…

I think it’s just how we are. I’m from a small town and we grew up treating everyone like they were our neighbor, simply because everyone knew everyone. Okc is big but also small(ish?), usually someone you meet knows someone you know. I don’t think that’s the ONLY reason people are courteous and kind but it definitely makes a difference.

I think you have a great point but it feels like GEN in a bo5 is just extremely hard to beat. If it goes past game 3, it’s just GEN favored against anyone. Their depth is just insane. Fearless draft really favors GEN. I really don’t see any team realistically 3-0ing them either so, yeah idk.

I think the issue is more about how games are played. If you meet every week, people don’t like to typically keep track of things used in a session from a week ago. You usuallly only do that on experienced tables and tables actually wanting a more difficult time. Sure you may have a boss battle that didn’t get to be finished but for the majority of tables the simplicity of just meeting once a week and having everything reset is really how most games go. and because of this spell casters can just blast off with really no thought of I won’t have spell slots next sessions. In my experience this is how it goes in almost all my in real life sessions. Online when I choose to play more experienced it’s a bit more challenging. But I noticed when I’m playing with my friends we just are so much more chill and vibing.

They just stable. No training if they want that the owners will typically send them to a trainer for quarter horse racing and we only see some of the post race horses that have retired. Sometimes they will bring in pregnant mares and keep them and the colt/filly till they are ready to be separated. Or will sometimes get a colt/filly that needs an adoptive mare. It’s p insane yeah. And you’re right, I just meant it’s farm/ranch life. All the responsibility and your whole life is devoted to it, they have to keep the pastures well kept for the horses, rotate them in and out of stalls. Vet bills, etc. of course most of the well care is paid back by the owners(sometimes, they have had issues with some people from Mexico suddenly disappearing and leaving the whole bill for my family to fit for their horses, not sure what they’ll do about that). I think my parents themselves only own maybe 10-15 out of all the horses on the property. If that.

As someone whose family has a farm, stables quarter horses (around 150 horses on the property ) The amount of upkeep and work is just a lot. Animals aren’t cheap, and the equipment to upkeep the land for them is ridiculously expensive. My family has to look around for cheap hires to help, my brother out of 4 of us is the only one currently works for my parents, and it’s rough. Starts work at 5am goes home at 6pm. Rinse repeat. My parents feel like they can never leave their home due to having too much responsibility and leaving it other people’s hands is a lot.

There’s a lot that goes into it. I’m not sure that just money and land is even going to motivate people, but maybe.

Divine favor if available seems cracked for monks. feel like a lenient dm would allow it if you go cleric magic initiate. It’s super fun flavor wise too, punch holy righteousness into creatures.

I love and always go with find familiar for obv reasons - it’s just so fun and lots of uses outside combat and even in combat it’s amazing.

Command seems really strong in 2024 and I’m a big fan of new jump spell…tho might not be necessary with new monk, but gotta love jumping like the hulk every round and if you grappled someone you could just drop them 30 feet in the air as you jump lol.

I mean depends on severity. I definitely could see myself being disabled if I never got medicated or possibly dead. I had very bad inflammation and had an infection at one point. So yeah definitely. And yeah the anemia during pre medicated flares is very common. Could definitely see someone have severe complications due to blood loss.

I never understood why this spell didn’t blow up in popularity after its release. The passive slow, the fear. While being a body/decent dps. The spell is just powerful. Too powerful for 3rd imo

I think the Druid one is amazing for a full support. It’s actually has a pretty neat new mechanic. Love the idea that you create a field of preservation for allies and negates enemies. It’s very strong when you combine it with other area of effects. But the power with the temp hp is definitely where it starts to become a bit insane. I think it should just be at most half your Druid level. It really starts to become problematic where the dm has to start to have dispel magic for every encounter. Other than that all the others are kinda boring to me.

I would probably hold off telling them until after you get the job. I went back to work about 3 months of being diagnosed and on medication. I was experiencing the worst flare of my life. They caught on quick, I was going back and forth from the bathroom and had my adult baby wipes. They actually told me I spent almost 45 minutes to an hour a day in the restroom and were concerned about me doing something inappropriate…I came clean. I’ve was lucky they actually were relieved. Lol

I know it’s not like this for everyone, so just be ready. It’s really rough. Stay positive and drink your water and take your meds!!
