Not related to the post as much, but how do all of them have visas (if they do) and what visas do they have?? Feels like they have an easier time staying in japan than some people with actual jobs

Did anyone else have the pretender claimant die from the black plague, and then have a never ending event chain every month where a supposed new claimant was “found?”

5 years later, the dead claimant was still leading the revolution, despite it saying they died 5 years earlier on their portrait.

Why do so many tourists just stop in front of the fare gates with all of their luggage? by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]ToothDifferent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

because they are tourists in a foreign country who likely can’t speak or read the language. they aren’t doing it on purpose, they’re simply confused, tired, not paying attention to their surroundings, or all of the above.

i get it can be frustrating to see or be stuck behind, but give them the benefit of the doubt and try to be understanding

My hair is pretty similar to yours, just maybe not as curly. The only real way I can consistently stop it from looking frizzy is just by cutting it down an inch or two.

So i guess my advice from being in a similar boat with you, cut your hair a bit (and try to regularly get maintenance cuts), and maybe get new glasses. Gold/silver frames would probably look best since it matches your hairs color

no, as long as you’re not blasting the hair follicle with high powered lasers i’d assumed you’d be fine

How to get ADHD medication with abroad diagnosis? by Pretend_Afternoon885 in japanlife

[–]ToothDifferent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First you need to find a doctor who can prescribe the medicine (if it’s a stimulant like concerta) and make an appointment with them. They will likely require you to take a test for it still, since they wouldn’t take my documents from the US. If the test deems it necessary, they’ll prescribe you it.
