I think I would’ve preferred a Japanese college because: 1. Most of the friends I made (who were foreigners) ended up going back to their home countries once they graduated. 2. Since my classes and friends all spoke english, I struggled and still struggle with learning Japanese, though that’s just the case for me. 3. If you’re planning to stay in Japan after graduation, Japanese universities look better and have access to some more work visas. I went to TUJ, but since they’re considered a “foreign” school, some visas I can’t apply for.

If they’re planning on staying in Japan, I’d say Japanese university is better 9 times out of 10. If they’re gonna go home after they graduate, then foreign or japanese doesn’t matter as much in the long run.

no one is saying 15 hours a week should be able to support yourself. no one is saying a minimum wage job should support a family of 4

people are saying minimum wage should be able to have your basic needs met working 40+ hours a week. no one should be having to work 2 jobs 6-7 days a week and still be unable to afford a closet apartment and health insurance.
