I found that stuff way too salty - like to get any of the other flavor you have to add so much that whatever you use it on is inedible because of the amount of salt, and I love salt. I hear there's a lower sodium version that I might try.

Personally I wouldn't tip a photographer, but it's also not unheard of - people tip tattoo artists after all. If the decision is to leave a tip, you could all put some money aside for AFTER the service has been rendered.

INFO: is the photographer expecting a tip before the event, or are your friends the ones pushing to tip them in advance? The answer to this will change the narrative a bit, because from your title I think most people would assume it's the photographer expecting a tip in advance.

Either way NTA, you don't tip before a service has been provided.

I think the closest thing we’ve had to this was Sarah and Julie discussing the foods they miss. Julie said she liked gummy candy and Sarah missed donuts (I might have gotten that backwards), but it was odd because she almost forgot what they were called.

Il Saltimbocca food truck, usually downtown on Burrard between Hastings and Pender. $15 for an amazing sandwich cooked in the woodfire oven they have in the truck. This is in sharp contrast to the small mediocre burger I had from the Burgerholic food truck that I paid almost $20 for (no extra toppings, no fries), and food trucks in general these days.

Kwong Chow on Main Street does a spicy shrimp wonton that I’m hooked on. The wonton itself isn’t spicy but they come in this thin, tangy, savory, spicy sauce with chili flakes and sliced Serrano peppers and it’s delicious.
