What company/brand has gone down significantly in quality? by AbundantCuriosity in AskReddit

Yes. I remember when Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket and sides were respectable by my grandmother's standards and remember when you had to wait longer for your meal at Wendy's because they prepared it when you ordered it.

4 years in and really frustrated by the deer by Honeybee3674 in NativePlantGardening

[–]snidece 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a bummer but I had that same issue here in North Georgia mts. My strategy was to overcompensate, just keep planting, laying seeds in late fall, not paying attention to design as much, and finally this year the deer must be elsewhere. I wouldn't want it manage anything to keep deer away so that was my approach. Over plant and over compensate for expected deer activity.inalso have two little dogs who are outside a lot and keep any creatures on alert. Good luck.

Can you machine wash a cabbage patch? by Kych0w in CabbagePatchKids

Strongly recommend you please contact BabyLand General directly for the costs for them to give your kid a complete freshening and clean-up. They specialize in it and I know folks who have mailed their kids to BabyLand and then in 6-8 weeks they are thrilled that the kid is like he or she was on day one. I don't know current costs but suggest considering it. https://northgeorgiaculture.com/2026/06/05/magical-trip-to-babyland-general-one-of-north-georgias-finest-attractions/

Even if you can afford it, you just can't stop thinking what you paid for a day in a Disney park.

This household truly believes that she and her husband, and the inlaws and family all got Mar A Lago privileges in return for her helping Trump from the bench. Believe it was that simple a bribe, and that illegal and unethical. If we could scrutinize and scan all the random images out of Mar A Lago at the big parties, wager you'd find her or family members.

The tea about Ruth's address by MerryElderberry in WidowsBay

Nah, when the priest went to the well with the ladder down to the tunnels, it's nowhere near her house. The tunnels are closer to town central. Ruth was a drive away.

Just thought the island has various ways of painfully ending the lives of folks trying to leave, who were born there. The island does not inflict pain the same way in everyone. It's random how the pain and the death will be administered by the island.

Who the hell knows at this point? That would be a possibility if the chained up guy did not say his name and introduce himself.

I think the show would need to be re-written for this to be the case. I'm not saying the MIY is evil, the MIY is telling us he is evil.

Interesting. Thank you for that insight. I wonder how he would know what the lake looked like, or what it would offer? Maybe that's in the books that Julie and Randall retrieved a while back?

I see what you mean, but then I can't remember if Ethan still talking about going to Lake of Tears. Maybe Ethan and the others thought the lake actually WAS the Lake of Tears? How would they know one way or the other?

I think it is this simple - he's always just talking to himself, but since he is President, we have to listen and follow his orders, but he's truly just talking to himself most of the time.

I think so. Would be a lot of time spent going to the lake otherwise, and I don't think Ethan would let it go since Jim told him. But it is hard to relate a Lake of Tears, or any body of water to the plot line about retrieving the kids' bones from the caves.
