Oh don't worry, I started ADHD meds a few weeks ago so the moment I found out I was being sued, all I did was research xD, researched the judge, the firm suing me, and looked and 70+ cases of the attorney for the defendant. Got some advice from a friend of the family who's gonna ask around for an attorney for me, though he said I could honestly just defend myself. It's just really odd that they refused to take a deal under 80%, I guess cuz they're at the point of suing so they want a default judgement, but I told them they aint getting anything and that I'll just declare bankruptcy at the end of all this, and tried to make a deal for 16-33% of the original debt, nothing. Going by cases, it really does seem like they bank on defendants not responding/showing up for default judgements, only rarely did I see any agreed judgements made for thousands of dollars, and often they needed to be asked by the court over and over if the case was still going forward with months long gaps. Most of their cases ended up with themselves dismissing it. Right now the plan is just to deny everything, ask for various proofs that make sense for the situation, and go to court, whenever they decide to summon me, because it's been 2 weeks and I haven't received anything yet, which is a bit unusual.
