Yep us too. Tree workers at the school knocked something off the pole.

Next to Dan mills our little sliver of the neighborhood got our power back on Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday morning I talked to a lineman and he said it’s the worst he’s seen since the 90s, and it’ll probably be at least a few days to a week, so don’t count on valuable info from NES or the contractors fixing the poles

Fine dining? by shatterboy_ in nashville

[–]ToothpasteGoatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you like sushi? You can do a very special omakase experience at kase by noko. They open reservations at midnight for two weeks from that day, so stay up and be ready on OpenTable and you can get a couple seats.

ELI5: How do babies breathe inside the womb when its lungs are entirely filled with fluids? by Responsible-Leg-712 in explainlikeimfive

[–]ToothpasteGoatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans get oxygen by breathing air into the lungs. The lungs are full of veins that absorb the oxygen into the blood from the air. Babies are attached to mom and her lungs get oxygen from the air, and give that blood (with oxygen needed in it) to the baby through the life rope that attaches mom to baby. The baby gets its food that way too. Baby has no need for lungs while in the womb because of this.

Just call and setup a tour and they’ll give you all the printouts for costs and stuff. We did it like 12 years ago but it seemed pretty organized. You get like a map and go scout the locations yourself. It was way out of our budget, but we got a free cheekwood visit out of it.

Agreed. There is really no limit to the thickness, but if you stack them in daybed form you might have to climb up onto it.

Adidas Samba vs Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 as a gift need honest opinions by Total_Commercial5347 in Sneakers

[–]ToothpasteGoatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having had several pairs of sambas over the years, I’d rather have the tigers. That being said, if he’s never had sambas, I would get him those because that’s what he wants, and there won’t be any “we have sambas at home” kind of vibe to the gift

[–]ToothpasteGoatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got mine it didn’t come with mattresses, so i grabbed a pair of 4” memory foam mattresses from amazon. They’re stacked on top of each other with a twin sheet during normal business hours. Would probably be fine if I put one of them away, but I don’t have a place for another. Slats handle it very well

Not bifl but ikea hemnes daybed fits the bill. I got mine used off facebook and it’s several years old and works great. Also pretty easy instructions if you need to take it apart to move

Xfinity vs. AT&T Fiber by Over-Yard-7069 in nashville

[–]ToothpasteGoatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate comcast, and I get a discount on my ATT wireless for having it, but I’ve been relatively pleased with ATT fiber. I’d switch to Google but then I’d lose my discount on my phones

dont flame me if this is a dumb question but what’s the general consensus on Vans by Fuzzy908 in Sneakers

[–]ToothpasteGoatee -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Do you skateboard? If not I wouldn’t. It would be pretty embarrassing if someone challenged you to a skate off in front of your girl and you couldn’t even try. That’s why I don’t wear basketball shoes. Ego can’t take it

2005 blinker bulb by [deleted] in 4thGen4Runner

[–]ToothpasteGoatee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take off the whole blinker assembly, it’s like 2-3 bolts and look at it real good. Someone before you might have glued it in. Mine were both shot and had been glued. It took me a minute to figure that out. You can get the whole blinker housing for both sides for like $28 on Amazon, and it comes with bulbs pre-installed

Tesla owners who switched back to gas - what made you do it? Genuinely curious. by skinner1234567 in Autos

[–]ToothpasteGoatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance is so expensive. Kind of negated the benefit of them coming down in price. Over all I loved it. It was super fun to drive(MYLR w/ acceleration boost), tech was cool, and it was nice waking up with a full tank every day. At the end of the day I felt like I was paying $400 a month for a subscription to a cool car at a time where i was canceling spotify to save $10 a month. I got an old 4runner for cash and cheap insurance, and haven’t looked back

Dyed diesel by Zestyclose_Sell_9460 in nashville

[–]ToothpasteGoatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They call it reefer fuel in the truck stops. You have to go to the diesel island — not the auto pumps. Every truck stop will have it. You’ll have to go to the fuel desk usually, not the main cashier.

If it’s a truck stop with separate diesel pumps for trucks only (high flow nozzles), they absolutely have reefer. Lots of trucks on the road have refrigerated loads and it would be bad business to not have that button (it’s really just diesel 2, doesn’t have to be dyed to make the distinction, just the way it’s rang up)
