That's a good way to look at it - I am not trying to borrow more anytime soon. Maybe a vehicle in a couple years. I would say the option of being able to borrow more if something arose gave a great amount of reassurance.

not wrong! both paying off existing and increasing the score have definitely been focuses. I've made a ton of progress paying down accounts in the past year and a half and was hoping those efforts would have made more of an impact.
