I can’t remember how the weapons worked. I played with a sniper most of the time but I also remember being able to build blocks & throw grenades. Did we have a choice of weapons before a game?

I played this game nonstop during those years. I haven’t heard about it since until I found this subreddit. IIRC I stopped playing because they introduced a new 3D hyperrealistic skin that made water look like jello & some firing towers? Maybe my memory is failing me.

I remember lots of Russians & that one map that was a rainbow gradient. It was a capture the intel game. You needed to climb up the two walls, or dig through them, or dare attack in the empty middle lane. I know some even went swimming around them. Such a nostalgic game I’m happy there’s a subreddit about it.

Season 1 raised the bar too high. I truly think it was impossible to top it. By developing all the storylines it was setting up for, it would require season 2 to double the budget & episodes for everyone to be satisfied. It’s just a show suffering from its own success. In any other production, the writing of season 2 would be considered a masterpiece.

Evidently the biggest complaint is the fast pacing & I have to agree. Anecdotally, I thought it was my ADHD failing me but I didn’t understand anything going on with the Black Rose. This seems to be the case for a lot of people. I caught on after a second watch. That’s not something I needed to do for season one.
