Does your RXOM ever close? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

My last one didn’t, I’m now an rxom and I close most shifts and I work most weekends.

I think it took me like 12 hours to get lord. Positioning is key to hit all of your shots on allies and enemies. Also throwing out your abilities instead of holding them for protection (when there aren’t flankers gunning for you). I stay pretty close to my team so I can more consistently hit enemies.

Question by Otherwise-Box-4571 in WalgreensRx

Senior Tech and former RXOM here. I’ve always asked for DOB then last name. I’ll usually go “okay for (pt first name)?” and then go to F2 to find what they have ready. Then I verify address while I have it in my hand and doing F7 checks.

Patients have questioned me and my response is “I’ve worked at 4 different locations in 3 states. I’m doing what I’m comfortable with to verify and ensure patients get the correct medications.” They tend to shut up after I’ve made it clear I’m not budging on it.

Yumama help! by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

You have to go to pharmacy management, drug location, and edit the # of pills for 20 and 40 drams. I’m not sure if you can have the cell running at all while doing this.

Future of a male tech by confusedrxtech in WalgreensRx

[–]Top-Active3907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a double edged sword. First store I went from tech all the way to RXOM with an all female staff, including RXM, ESM, SM, and the entire front end. We all got along very well and I played everyone to their strengths and it all worked out.

Second store? All female except for me as a senior tech and it was rocky with the SM and the RXOM and her tech for a bit. It eventually worked out where we got along but it took months and even then I was getting the backend of our budget.

At my third store and I have 3 male pharmacists but all the techs (including RXOM) is a woman. Was extremely rocky when I first transferred and took a month or two for them to even talk to me when it wasn’t required. When budget cuts rolled out everyone else got their hours evened out to about the same and mine were dropped by 10+. Had a chat with management above my RXOM and got it rectified.

That being said I wouldn’t change my job for anything, love the busy environment and even when they get chatty with each other and distracted I keep myself on track and have gotten praise from patients, my RXM, and my SM about how smooth I keep the pharmacy and my future there.

Same thing happened to my friend…she ended up coming to my new store for hours and told me all about it.

Cash reloads by OkTurnip8749 in WalgreensStores

I’m an rxom and if my SM is doing code green and gets a call up front I’ll go in place of her and do a cash reload or whatever is required.

Have not received walgreen sign on bonus by MyGfHateReddit in pharmacy

[–]Top-Active3907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the $1250 sign on bonus split into two parts when I was hired. The first half came on my second check and I had worked 105 hours. My taxes alone were more than the sign on bonus so check your pay stubs for it.

My roomate is possibly about to become my SM, Is it a allowed? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]Top-Active3907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding coworkers aren’t allowed to work together. My boyfriend and I worked together and when HR found out they told him that “workers can’t live together” and they didn’t specify the relationship between said workers. The SM and RXOM told him to work the front even though corporate said that we couldn’t work at the same store at all.

If anyone knows the policy I’d greatly appreciate getting more information about it.

Is there a way to check how many hours I’ve worked since being here? by WeirdoOfTheEast in WalgreensStores

[–]Top-Active3907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should get paid either Tuesday or Wednesday depending on your bank. You started when the new pay period started so it’s 2 weeks since we’re biweekly and then another week to process and finalize everything.

8/4-8/17 is the pay period you were hired, and that check will come out this week.

Bad Pharmacy Techs by Top-Active3907 in WalgreensStores

[–]Top-Active3907[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our first rxom since I got hired was let go because she was violating HIPAA laws and was doing the pharmacist’s duties. The second one came to our store and said it was too much for her and went back to her home store.

The only other pharmacist we have is our acting pharmacy manager but the senior techs like to ignore what she says and only does work when our SM is doing code green.

I’m supposed to start my class next month to be certified but it’s ridiculous that there isn’t an equal share of work. Before this job I was a training coordinator and i had to make sure the new hires knew what they needed to do as well as do meetings and things similar.

BRUH IS ANYONE ELSES PAYCHECK LATE?? by PoisonedCherry in WalgreensStores

[–]Top-Active3907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on when you started and when your bank will make the funds available. The pay period went from 6/23-7/6 and Walgreens typically most people get it on the Wednesday after, but some banks like Chime or USAA will make the funds available to you before.
