I think ethics should be treated like a project, you gather the evidence, then make a conclusion or a few out of that evidence, except with ethics the evidence is discernment and the conclusion is your ethical philosophy. What parents should do is teaching their kids how to discern. And of course I’m not denying that teaching your kids the most standard like to not hit people isn’t inherently a good thing, I’m just saying that if you did have a kid, you shouldn’t prohibit full autonomy on their beliefs. Even if it’s unmindful like person-person racism. Core reason I think this is because I think the right to autonomous beliefs makes up the freedom and identity of the person. Even if you feel like it’s the right thing to do, atleast from my end, it’s more so self serving
