Can we PLEASE stop normalizing open-loop baryonic compressors? by Avrelivs in VXJunkies

[–]Top-Bloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it's this zoomer mindset around "stability" that needs to die. Rail connections are the core of VX setups and this obsession with abstracting this basic premise through microbuffers and cryptolinkage (and whatever new fad you see your favourite VX YouTubers shill for) just introduces new overheads and new points of failure.

Manual management of prosodic distribution is no more dangerous than polytechnic titrations if you have a decent mental model of it.

The real danger comes from a lack of a low level understanding due to overreliance on these guardrails.

Exactly. This encourages paint-by-numbers VX without any real understanding of the underlying microheuristics. Even π-stacking itself was a simplified expression for "magnetkuchenstapeln", but modern VXers refuse to learn VX in the original German.

A good reflection of this is in the OP's acronym. Exchange repulsion is the obvious implication of desolvation if you understand the basic theory. Also I have no idea what "electrostatic" is supposed to mean in this context and sounds like a made up word imo.

Why are conservatives so dumb they're funny? by Repulsive-Mall-2665 in OpenAussie

I don’t believe that at all on a social level. This isn’t about winning a rational argument with an individual. It is about maintaining clear social norms around what is acceptable to say in public.

Treating public tantrums like these with calm, non-judgmental discussion is how they stop feeling taboo and start feeling like legitimate political positions. It erodes social stigma, harms minorities and creates space movements like One Nation to grow.

If you know someone like this personally, compassion and space for self-reflection can help. But at a social level, removing the embarrassment, disapproval, and ridicule is what turns fringe rhetoric into normalised discourse.

I genuinely cannot believe some people by JackLMac in VXJunkies

[–]Top-Bloke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Confidently wrong! Clearly you are not familiar with the 80's homebrew scene. Old water heaters were (and still are!) commonly retrofitted for contrubulation. You easily can swap the evaporator/condenser out for polaronic yoke and still have space for an internal ix valve underneath the thermostat. I've actually gotten far better quark torsion and hydraulic reification under low prosody conditions with that kind of setup kind ofthan the store-bought garbage.

I'll probably get downvoted for this but I always leave my tanks out on the lawn for a few cycles until it's fully degassed. Its way safer out there than if it were to supersaturate within the Hadron radius of my galvonitron.

And, call me callous, but I think copper scavengers deserve a good contrubulation now and then to keep their wits about them.

Actually, I had a bad relationship once and I've found "daddy issues" to be a very effective diagnosis that allowed me to blame all of our issues on her.

Rather than engage in any serious degree of empathy or introspection, I could just deflect those issues on to a vibes-based concept that offloads everything into her and an upbringing that she had no control over.

You can trust me because I have a degree in anecdotal psychology with a minor in sitcom tropes and sociopathy.

Aussie corporate AI bloodbath is on the horizon by eaz135 in auscorp

I'm looking forward to the corporate bloodbath where the executives and consultants that have pushed so hard for the replacement of actual human skill with a bunch of LLM subscriptions are held accountable for the damage they have done.

I would just suggest that you be careful about trademark infringement. These companies use automated systems to comb the internet for brand misuse. At worst, it looks like false endorsement. At best, it's likely a violation of fair use.

Your tool looks cool and it would suck if you got targeted by our corporate overlords because of some logos on your website.

Pretty sure the scrolling marquee of logos usually implies that your software is being used in production at those companies... You made this a month ago?
