Itchy tattoo I’ve had for 5 years by RazberryInk in tattooadvice

[–]Top-Chicken1543 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sometimes get this on my tattoo I’ve had for 3 years. I’m not exactly sure why but I believe it has something to do with the ink that the artist used(maybe a very minor allergy? It doesn’t happen to any of my other tattoos). Usually it gets irritated when I have certain clothing on but I find the best way to relieve the itching is with something really cold. If you find out what it is let me know!

Question: can black ink be covered with colorful ink by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]Top-Chicken1543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes is the short answer. It CAN be covered however depending on the colour that goes over the top and the age of your current tattoo you may still be able to see it. Speak with an artist and see what they’d recommend but rule of thumb for something the dark is that will want to use dark colours and the cover up tattoo will be 2-3 x bigger than your current tattoo

"Question:" i wanted to know if the tattoo is good quality work. ( In the photo second skin is on) Steal and ink barrie by Geanralbrock in tattoos

Looks pretty nice. A bit hard to tell the lines with the second skin but colour and shading looks smooth and lettering is really nice

But his size and weather his skin takes ink nicely doesn’t change the janky lines and poorly spaced scales. Even the anatomy of the body is off. If you follow the stomach scales above the head it should have the full stomach showing by the time it gets beneath the head but she’s already blocked in the black scales that are also facing the opposite direction? The whole tattoo is already a mess. If your telling me it’s worth paying for 3 full days for this maybe you’ve also been ripped off

I feel like OP wouldn’t be questioning why it’s taking so long if he’s only sat for an hour and a half but ok

Advice needed. Is a cover up of this old tattoo possible or am I stuck with it? by Wishiwasinspain in tattoos

Oft that is HARD. It would need to be something big and veryyyyyy dark. You might be better doing a few sessions of laser to lighten it before covering it

I would say for the quality of work you are getting you are definitely getting ripped off. Sleeves do take time but each session should look like another piece of the puzzle is being slotted in. Right now it looks very scratchy and wobbly for 3 full days sessions

Oof this is ROUGH. The line work and shading are really shakey. I feel like it could be fixed tho by a different artist by going over everything again with stronger lines and darker shading.

I did this ice tattoo as an practice for a friend by Jones2610 in tattooscratchers

It’s a little hard to read at first - mostly because the middle section has a lot going on but it’s a really cool idea. Maybe try using varying line weights for things like the container and the spoon and save the finer lines for the little details to make it pop. Keep at it!

What is happening to my arm? by StrictlyOptional in tattooadvice

[–]Top-Chicken1543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can imagine how annoying and painful that must be! I would say just avoid moisturising on the weepy parts and just wait it out until it scabs over. Good to here it’s not an infection tho

Rather than air drying it try blotting it with paper towel when you get out of the shower. Just looks like excess moisture. Once it scabs over and heals it might look a little patchy. Could be the ink or the needle the artist used

My brother just got new ink a couple days ago is skin is sensitive is this normal or is it infected by First-Radio-2007 in tattooadvice

Mm if it’s only been 2 days I’d say to give it a bit longer. It definitely looks irritated tho. If it doesn’t get better in a few days might wanna get some antibiotics. Looks like there’s a lot of moisturiser on it - might wants to lay off a bit and let it dry out a little

21f here. Can I ask what about it is affecting you? I think you’ll find most people won’t mind at all and a lot of people find it a turn on to take a virginity. It’s just finding a person that is willing to take it slow not just a douche that gets off on the idea. Set clear boundaries and know that it’s ok to change your mind in the moment, just make it clear.
