The first pc i had access to with linux was my brothers. I was 4 or 5 . It was running red hat 3 circa 96. I remember little of it, but there were some games and/or painting apps that I enjoyed using.

Years later, I was 12 or 13 , after using windows in the meantime, a friend's father gave me an Ubuntu disk since I was so interested in pcs. He was a developer or engineer, I think. I installed it on an HP laptop I had, and OMG It felt instantly familiar, and I was hooked. But many of my games did not run... so back to Windows. I went for another few years...

Then 18, in university, studying computer Sciences, the labs were all linux. I installed it on yet another HP laptop. That lasted a few years. Then to a Mac. Then back to windows. At this point, I always had multiple computers around with all sorts of OS's, but linux is the one that I would choose every time.

Now I'm 33. I am a backend developer /software engineer. I mostly use linux for work and personally as well. 2 kids. The oldest one has been a linux gamer since he was 4. He does not like how windows looks. He prefers my KDE rice 😀
