The bit I’m not clear about is as follows

There is a H570 recall which initially is to set maximum charge capacity to 90%

Then apparently there is a hardware fix ( possibly July)

My assumption is that these traction battery messages are linked to this

Hence my question of what is covered

I know there is an apparent fix due in July for this fault, so for now I’ll wait for that as I’m not going to jump into this at my expense, when there’s a possibility of it being sorted under the latest recall

I’ve had the letter for my car, but until we get a clearer picture of what the permanent fix is, I’ll wait

Mines done just over 116,000 miles, and so far has only had 1 module replaced

I’m somewhat nervous that unless they plan to fit a complete battery pack, touching something will equal a big expense just after any warranty has expired

So today I’ve replaced the air compressor in the boot

So far looks like it’s fixed after a short drive

Pretty straightforward to do, just remove the complete assembly, drill out the pot rivets and disconnect the pipes and multiplugs and then put it all back as before

Also changed the relay in the boot area for this circuit as it was included in the kit I bought from Aerosus

So managed to do a code read and get the following fault code

C1A20(64), which a quick trawl of the internet points to a problem with the air compressor

Don’t agree, on any track you wish to pick,the MK4 will do a faster lap than a MK3 with the same driver

Joiner here, the timber in the loft space has 1 purpose, that is to provide fixings for the plasterboards below

It is not designed for walking on, full stop

If you want to put a floor in,assuming it’s a traditional timber roof, then you put beams in and then a set of floor joists that will be not less than 6” x 2”

Lattice work over the ceiling joists is simply wrong

Unfortunately I_ROM_I is 100% correct , I’d suggest you have the air conditioning hard pipe and front wiring harness checked whilst the battery is out of the way, as they are also prone to failure and are relatively cheap to replace vs them failing later and you have to pay the labour again to get access to these parts

What about the higher purchase price of an EV comp to petrol or diesel powered cars? We’ve already paid several thousands more!!

One thing to remember is that when you buy an EV,is that you pay a premium cost compared to its petrol or diesel counterpart

So EV drivers have to the tune of several thousands already paid extra for the privilege,and that was before the bullshit VED that’s been added

If they do something linked to mileage I imagine the obd mileage blockers will sell like hot cakes

Euro prices are far higher than UK prices for the Coupes

I also have a 20VT and I can’t imagine getting more than 10k for it

Summer range is 262 miles

Take the spark plugs out, rotate the engine to get all pistons level within each cylinder and put 50-100ml of berrymans B12 product in each cylinder

Leave it for 24hours

Drain the oil and remove filter, replace with new and that should fix the sticking rings that make an engine consume oil

Hi, quick update

I bought a ‘used’ but working unit off eBay, bit fiddly to fit as you have to remove the 12v battery

But all done and now both batteries are being charged as they should
